Luke's Diner [5 PM FHT]

Rory had done good work, as usual, and the diner was decorate with blue streamers and balloons.

But no glitter. That's what Jaye was for.

"I haven't had to deal with children since I was one," she clarifies.

"How's that?" John frowns at her. "If you were one, how were you babysitting?"

"No, that's not what I meant," he says and sigh back. "Babysitting means caring for kids in my world. Were you like taking care of kids when you were one?"

"Ha. No. You look out for each other, but that's really all. I'm a soldier, which means I didn't have to have anything to do with caring for children, which means I didn't have to do anything with them."

John shakes his head but grins. "I know, honey. I'm not proposing we go conceive a kid tonight."

This time the flail's not so much internal, and she debates seriously whether she's ever having sex again. "No, no no no no no," she says, shaking her head. A lot. "And rest assured I'd take advantage of that whole seven cycles anyway."
