Luke's Diner [5 PM FHT]

Rory had done good work, as usual, and the diner was decorate with blue streamers and balloons.

But no glitter. That's what Jaye was for.

"He'll be part Gilmore," Anakin said. "I don't see how he could be anything else."

"He's also part Danes. Luke doesn't like glitter," Rory said fretfully.

Anakin pressed his lips together. "I'll be sure not to give Bucky any traumatic glitter-related memories, then," he promised.

"You can help me teach him to read!" Rory decided happily.

"I can," Anakin said. "And tell him stories about famous Jedi."

"And then make sure I know them so I can tell them again when he's old enough to remember them," Rory added.

"When we're on Coruscant, you can find a store with all of the good ones compiled," Anakin said. "I'll translate them out of Basic for you."

"I'll be around to go to Coruscant," she promised, trying to look like she believed it.

Anakin nodded, biting his lip. "And if you miss it, I'll bring it back. As a welcome home present thing."

"Will you bring back clothes?" Rory asked. "Because I really, really want to go clothes-shopping on Coruscant."

Anakin blinked. "I've never gone clothes shopping on Coruscant," he admitted.

"And you're probably not the leading expert on women's fashion, huh?" Rory added.

"I know what I like," Anakin said, thinking back to Rory's white ensemble a few nights back. "But, yeah, I'm probably not going to be a huge help."

Rory raised a brow, having a pretty good idea of what he was thinking of. "Somehow I suspect that if I let you pick out clothes for me, I wouldn't be able to wear them in public," she said quietly.

"Depends on which planet's fashions you were planning on following," Anakin replied, eyes twinkling.

"Pretty ones," Rory said, frowning.

"Naboo and Alderaan, then," Anakin said. "Corellia's a little...flashy."

"Like Vegas?" Rory asked.

Anakin nodded. "Sometimes with less clothing."

Rory blinked. "Yeah, nothing Corellian," she decided. "Not even for, um, personal use."

Anakin looked disappointed for a split second before remembering he was out in public. "I'm sure you'll find something you like," he said. "You'll have clothing from a thousands systems to choose from."

"I wonder if there are shiny ways to do my hair, too," Rory mused.

"Lots," Anakin said. "But I don't know if I really want to see you with all of those lights..."

Yeah, he'd taken shiny a little literally.

"...lights?" Rory asked, blinking.

"If you want your hair to be shiny," Anakin replied. "Some beings use lights."
