Caritas - Saturday Evening [Open]

Weevil had returned to Fandom a few days ago. It's definitely good to be back after spending a week in Neptune. And he's glad to see the zombie band back as well. He notices Tino seemed to be missing, though. He just shakes his head in amusement.

Caritas is open.

"Actually, I was the one shirtless," Cally said. "Though Anakin... Oooooh." Cally got lost in that mental image for a second.

Veronica nodded. "Yeah."

She grinned. "If you want to wake up handcuffed to a hot, shirtless guy, you should call Jaye."

Cally blinked. "Jaye's a girl," she said.

"I know," Veronica laughed. "But she manages to get the hot guys shirtless all the time."

"Wow," Cally said. "You know, I have barely even thought about other guys for, like, months?" Cally chewed her lip for a second. "I mean, there was the thing with the whole Kara situation, but Kara's not a boy, so that doesn't count."

"I know what you mean," Veronica said. "When Logan and I broke up, I was pretty sure I wasn't going to be dating anyone for a long time."

"I'm gonna take my time," Cally said. "Don't wanna be, like, hooking up to fast. People'd call me stuff. And it'd hurt the boy."

Veronica nodded. "I get that. But don't be afraid either. I wasn't planning to date, but Marty convinced me I was being an idiot and I'm kind of glad now."

"Yeah, cause no matter how much I joke about him... Archie's kinda pretty," Cally laughed and grinned.

"Yeah," Veronica agreed. "And he's nice. Kind of restored my faith in the male population."

"Guess I'll have to find my own Archie," Cally said. "Not that I really lost my faith in anything, just... yeah."

"Just do whatever seems right," Veronica advised. "If you meet someone you like, don't be afraid. But don't push yourself if you're not ready."

"Right," Cally said. She smiled and raised her glass. "I've toasted with everyone else tonight, might as well with you, too. To the bestest friend I've had in a long time."

Veronica grinned and raised her own glass to clink it against Cally's. "I'm just glad I can help you," she said.

"Me too," Cally said. "Otherwise I'd be crying and homeless right now."

Veronica leaned over and gave her a hug. "I don't think that would have ever happened."

Cally smiled and hugged Veronica back tightly. "I think I'm ready to crash out for the night," she said. "Cause if I get any drunker, I might end up trying to kiss you or something."

"Come on, let's get you home," Veronica said. "And I would never take advantage of your inebriation and kiss you."

"See, that's why I like you," Cally said, standing up, and almost losing her balance. "You're totally not advantage takering."

"Yes, I'm just a paragon of virtue," Veronica said, sliding off her own stool and offering Cally an arm to steady herself.

Cally took hold of Veronica's arm and smiled. "You say the nicest things," she said. "Which way is home?"

"This way," Veronica said, walking towards the door. "Say good night to everyone."

"Done and done," Cally said. "Except you. I've not said good night to you, cause I'll still be seeing you as we leave."

"Yes you will," Veronica agreed, opening the door so they could do just that.
