Caritas - Friday evening [Open]

After making Tino do some work during the afternoon, GOB put up the sign he had spent all of five minutes making.

Willow had showered and showered and showered. She still smelled like artificial flavoring but at least she wasn't as sticky as she had been.

She showed up at Caritas with clean clothes, still-damp hair, and a bag slung over her shoulder.

She looked around for GOB.

"Hey, it's you again," GOB said. "Want a Jello shot? We're having a special."

Willow made a face. "Thank you, but no. I got plenty on me today already. Who knew dragons were so pukey?"

"People who have been puked on by dragons probably knew that. What can I get you, then?" GOB asked.

"One dance floor, please," Willow said with a smile, since it was always possible that he might say yes.

"Buy a Jello shot and I'll consider it," GOB said.

"I'm sixteen," Willow reminded him.

"Fandom doesn't have drinking laws as far as I can tell," GOB said. "Hell, I have an eighteen-year-old tending bar two days a week."

"Buy a Jello shot and we'll talk about the dance floor. You don't even have to drink it. I just want to make a sale."

"Okay fine," Willow said. "But not a red one!"

GOB passed over a blue Jello shot. "Here you go. Now we can talk about the dance floor."

"It's not going to happen. Thanks for your business."

Willow had gotten momentarily distracted by peering into the glass to see if she could spy any dragon guts.

"But why? I haven't even done my pitch yet!"

"Hey, you can give your pitch, it's just going to end in a 'no,'" GOB said. "I'm just being nice and telling you right away."

"It won't!" Willow assured him. She put her bag down on a chair so she could take out her laptop. "I came prepared this time. There's a spreadsheet!"

"Okay, fine. Spreadsheet." GOB grabbed a Jello shot and downed it. "Let's hear your blah blah blah."

"There were going to be graphs and stuff but I got a little distracted with the dragons," Willow admitted. She put her computer up on the bar and fired up what she'd made (http://willbedone.livejournal.com/12572.html).

"No," GOB said, watching to see if she was going to cry.

The pouting commenced.

"You said cry. I don't see crying," GOB said. "So the rest of this list is crap, too."

"I'm working on it!" Willow said. "It's been a very long day with nasty creatures that make me think of Bill Cosby. Like thinking of him isn't nightmare inducing enough!"

"Look, I'll make you a deal. I'll let you have a dance floor if you can do something else to help me out," GOB said.

"Okay," Willow said. "What?"

"I'm going to have a bunch of Jello left over and the Fourth is going to be slow, I think," GOB said. "Get enough of your girl friends over here to have a Fourth of Jello Wrestling Tournament and you can have your dance floor.""

"I don't think many of my girl friends are interested in watching wrestling," Willow said. "They might be up for eating Jello by then though."

"It's wrestling or nothing," GOB said. "And I need at least four, but eight would be hotter. Better. I meant better."

"Why not ask the boys?" Willow replied. "I bet they'd like wrestling more than the girls would. Heck, Jamie could give you eight guys all on his own."

"I don't want to see boys wrestling in Jello," GOB said. "Especially not Pee Cup. Who knows what he'll do to the Jello?"

"Wrestle in Jello?" Willow frowned. "Wouldn't they get all sticky?"

"That's the whole point," GOB said. "Look, either get four girls here on Tuesday for fun in Jello, or no dance floor."

[OOC: Worst login mistake ever.]

"I am not encouraging my friends to get dirty and waste food!" Willow said, still not getting why jello wrestling would be fun. She gathered up her computer. "I'll just have to prove the benefits of a dance floor some other way."

[ooc: *pretends to have seen nothing*]

"Fine. But if you reconsider... Or, hell, even you'd be fine. Then you'd only have to find three friends to join you," GOB said. "Celebrate the birth of your country in Jello!"

"No thank you," Willow replied. She shouldered her bag and left to plan new ways to convince GOB.

I feel the urge to share the story of how I almost burned my house down making jello now.

I put a metal pot in the microwave to boil the water.

I was twelve and didn't know better.
