The Fourth Sin - Saturday Morning

With Miho gone, Becky actually felt a need to rise before midafternoon.

So when noon rolled around, she was in the lobby, sorting through their accounts and trying to remember all the math she'd learned before dropping out her sophomore year of high school.

[Here for someone in particular who wanted to talk to Becky, but open to all customers/Sin residents/etc. Am on SP until probably about 6 EST, unless my plans change, whee.]

It had been a long and interesting week that had left Willow with a lot of questions she didn't have answers to.

So she decided to turn to someone in a position of authority. After all, a teacher wouldn't steer her wrong, right?

Willow went into the Sin and looked around for someone who could point her in Becky's direction.

A small calico cat ran down the stairs, followed by Jarod and a pair of nail clippers. He stopped short when he saw Willow. M ran over to Willow and began to investigate.

"Hello. Are you in the right place?"

"Hi kitty!" Willow said. She bent down, holding out her hand for the cat to sniff. To Jared she said, "I hope so. Is this where I can find Becky? She's one of the teachers this summer?"

M sniffed her hand, then immediately began to rub up against Willow's ankles, claiming her in the name of small calicos.

Jarod smiled. "Yes, this is where you can generally find Becky, but I don't know if she's around right now. Would you like some iced tea while you wait for her?"

"That would be very kind, thank you," Willow said. She gave M skritches. "So it's okay if I wait? You won't have to worry about me, I know Becky won't be online again for hours brought a book. I'll be very quiet and out of the way, Scout's honor! Not that I was ever a Scout, but I still have honor and I feel it's comparable in spite of the lack of uniforms."

"Yes, it's fine," Jarod looked down sternly at M, who was looking up at him smugly from where she was being skritched, "but don't think you're getting out of getting your nails clipped, young lady."

"You don't have to be quiet, but you might want to stay out of the way--and I bet you've got a lot of honor," he nodded to Willow, heading towards the kitchen.

"Thank you!" Willow said with a smile as she settled down to wait.

He returned with a glass of iced tea. "Do you want me to take her?" He asked, gesturing to the cat. "I don't want her to bother you."

"She's no bother," Willow assured him. "But I don't want to steal her if you were playing."

"Clipping her claws," Jarod corrected, handing over the tea, "so she's probably thrilled for the reprieve. Just give a yell if you want me to come get her."

"Will do," Willow promised, taking the glass. "Thank you!"

"You're welcome," he smiled at her. "I'm Jarod, by the way. It'll make the yelling for me easier."

"I'm Willow," she said, offering her hand to shake.

Becky finally reemerged from where she had been upstairs looking through files. She really needed to just stay away from math, she decided, and was pondering this as she reentered the lobby and paused.

"Hi," she said slowly to the unfamiliar redhead. "Are you lost or something?"

"Hi!" Willow said with a wave. "I'm looking for Becky."

"I'm Becky," she replied, looking her over. "Are you...here as a customer?"

Because really, you could never be sure.

"Actually, I guess you could say as a student," Willow said. And be afraid because she had a notebook and pen with her.

"You're not in my workshop," Becky noted.

And then paused. "You're not, right? I only have the one girl with the way-too-bright hair in there."

"Oh, no," Willow said. "But I needed some help and thought I'd come to an expert. I'm Willow."

"Hi," Becky said, perching on the desk and sighing. "What kind of help? Depending on what it is, I might have to charge or refer you to one of the ladies."

"Information? I guess?" Willow said. "Maybe advice? And has anybody ever told you you look a lot like Rory?"

"Nope, never heard that before," Becky deadpanned. "What kind of advice or info?"

And here's where Willow tended to run out of vocabularly.

"I've - um - got this friend? And she's wondering if... certain... things... can be reversed?"

Becky sighed. "Yes, honey, of course, as long as everything still fits where it should, the girl can be reversed, the guy can be reversed, or they both can, or if there are two girls or two guys, same deal. There're helpful diagrams available on the internet thingy, I think."

Willow looked interested. "Really? I mean - um. Useful, but not exactly what I meant. See my friend... Michelle... she had this boyfriend? And then she didn't have this boyfriend? And now she's got this boy who is more than a friend and she's wondering if maybe she accidentally redid things that were undone."
