Alfred was worried about Walter.

Yes, he knew that Walter could more than take care of himself. And he knew that he would have help.

And he knew that there was some evidence indicating that he would survive it.


But perhaps it was the manner in which the evidence was obtained that had him so worried. Besides.

Alfred was only human.

He was a little insulted that Pippi was suggesting he would forget such a thing as ice cream.

He could have put pie or tartlets for dessert instead. Ice cream is not a given, like fizzy lemonade.
