GOB was in a good mood. So good, in fact that he posted a message behind the bar.

He had heard about this with other businesses. Since he was in such a good mood, he figured it could be fun here, too.

Then he read the sign and put $1.01 in the tip jar. "Sing."

Tino paused, saying nothing.

Barbossa also paused, waiting. "I be seein' neither rum nor a song," he commented. "Ye could combine 'em. Thar be lots o' songs about rum."

The Doctor sat at the bar.

"Chocolate milk, please," he said.

"Sure thing, buddy. Tino!" GOB looked around. Then he started speaking to no one in particular. "Okay, fine, still no Tino. I guess I'll do it. It's not like I'm busy running the place or anything." Because he wasn't.

"Here you go," he said, handing the chocolate milk over.

The Doctor gestured to the note behind the bar as he pulled out his money. "Do I get to request a number, or is it just up to the whims of the employee?"

Barbossa stared at him in barely disguised horror. "Milk? In a bar? Be ye out o' yer mind?"

Was it bad to be seen drinking in the same bar as your teacher? Not that Conner was actually drinking.

"Uh, hi, Doctor," he said, waving lamely.

Xander wandered in, still trying to figure out how he'd let himself get banished from his own room.

Shaking his head, he looked at the sign, snickered, and said, "Coke, please?" because no on anything that contained alcohol for at least, say, the next nine billionty thousand years.

"Sure," GOB said, slightly annoyed by the singing he had already had to do tonight. He filled a glass and handed it over. "There you go. No snickering."

Barbossa tapped Xander on the shoulder. "I be wantin' a tip," he said, holding out a grubby hand. "I be takin' either money or rum."

Maureen sauntered in to the bar and took a seat, wondering if she'd find someone to buy her drinks tonight. Christian was off on the mainland doing something and she was bored.

Conner was actually at Caritas by himself tonight, since Anders seemed to be all distracted by something and had wandered off somewhere. He couldn't help noticing the really hot and unfamiliar person in the bar and gave her a charming grin.

"Hey there."

"Now there's a face I've not seen before," the Doctor said, raising his glass. "Is this a welcome to the island situation, or have I just missed you being around?"

Sister Rosette didn't particularly care that it was Sunday. She needed a drink to get the crazy (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/991927.html) out of her head.

But she was going to take it easy. She considers the long list of drinks she tried last time, and realized that she couldn't remember half of them.

She's at a bit of a loss.
