This morning? Had been a very good one, indeed. An interesting workshop with a real live police officer to talk to. Seras made a mental note to thank Alfred for choosing Commissioner Gordon as his stand in.

She'd straightened up the store humming a song and possibly with a little shimmy in her movements. But, just a little one.

Now, Seras was at the counter a magazine featuring samovars open and one with bath oils and accessories right next to it, waiting to be perused.

Seras was glad to be back in Fandom, of course, but there were some things a girl couldn't help missing.

All and Sundries is open.

The Doctor entered All and Sundries with a smile on his face.

"Good day, Miss Victoria."

Seras looked up from her magazines.

"Oh, hello, Doctor! How can I help you?"

"Do you have Prince Albert in a can?" he asked, simply.

"Yes, but I let him out ten minutes ago."

Seras' face? Totally blank.

"That's very good of you," the Doctor said, smirking. "I actually came in to see if you carry jelly babies."

"You are talking about the candies, right?"

"What else would I be talking about?"

Seras shrugged.

"One thing you learn in Fandom is to never assume anything. Anything."

"Well, yes. The candies," the Doctor said. "I don't want to even contemplate what could possibly be an alternative."

Seras made a noise of agreement and began to peruse her stock list. She was relieved to find that the candy kind were the only sort of jelly babies available.

"Bassetts brand or Norfolk?" she asked the Doctor.

"Oh, one of each, please," the Doctor said. "I like variety."

Seras nodded and flipped through the pages.

"Okay...let's see...Jelly babies are...in the...health food section."

Right.

"I've lived for near a thousand years eating them, so they must be healthy," the Doctor said. "Lead on, would you please?"

Seras nodded and lead on as requested.

"Doctor...how common is it for people to be...sucked into books?"

"I once had two of my dear friends trapped in one, for a short time," the Doctor said.

"Ah...I'm glad they got out again..."

"Have you had such an encounter recently?" the Doctor asked.

Seras nodded.

"Yes. Saturday evening. I was gone from then until Sunday...It seemed longer, though..."

"Hmmm," the Doctor said, thinking. "Any particular book? Were you trapped playing out the events of the narrative?"

"It was a book of Arabian Fairytales," said Seras, "And...well, I took part in what was going on, but I never felt *trapped* really. It always felt like it was *me* deciding what to do."
