Caritas - Sunday evening [Open]

When GOB walked into Caritas tonight, he saw something strange. The Zombie Band's drummer was wearing a coonskin cap.

Well, that wasn't strictly true. The cap scratched it's nose lazily. That's when GOB realized the coonskin cap had bones, muscles, and a functioning cardiovascular system underneath the skin. It was, in fact, a living racoon. With an itchy nose.

GOB wasn't going to ask questions. He just wasn't.

[OOC: Caritas is open and I am around. Mod Tino if you wish. and we're in the "mod Tino" portion of the evening.]

GOB wasn't going to ask questions, but Rosette was, as she slid up to the bar. "Is that a raccoon on that drummer's head?" She couldn't keep her eyes off it. And had a strange desire to poke it with a fork.

"I think so," GOB said. "And that's why I'm on my second drink already. What'll you have?"

"Huh." Rosette still spent a moment or two watching the raccoon. "Seems to be pretty docile, though, so at least his head's warm? And, uhhh...I dunno what I'd like tonight. Any suggestions?"

"I don't think the zombies actually need to be kept warm. I mean, they are dead," GOB said. "Hey, Tino, bring something over for the sister."

Tino mixed up a margarita and handed it over.

"Hey, Tino!" GOB called out. "A pint of bitter! Bitter, right? Not butter?"

"Not butter," the Doctor said. "I'm thinking trying to drink a pint of butter might be bad for these old hearts of mine."

"That's why I had to ask," GOB said as Tino brought the pint over. "It sounded weird."

Rosette figured that this was a good day for meeting new people, like ducks and men in stripes and this guy here with the nose. "Hi!" she chimed with a smile and an offered hand. "I'm Rosette."

While Rosette at first thought it odd to have someone introduct themselves merely by title, she wondered instead if she'd breeched some sort of strange ettiquitte by using her name, if she should have instead said 'I'm the Nun.'

But..."Oooh, a doctor!" And a British one, too. How...distinguished! "It's nice to meet you, sir."

Rory was bored.

So Rory was in Caritas.

It's possible she was peering over the bar looking for tiny, colorful umbrellas.

"I know who you are. I wouldn't glare at Becky about a bee costume," GOB reasoned. "What do you want?"

Oh! It was the girl who did the fashion show thing! Excitedly, Rosette quickly bounced over to her when she spotted her.

"Hi! I just wanted to thank you for letting me participate in the fashion show! It was really, really fun and, oh my God, thank you!"

This was all said very quickly and in one gleeful breath. Rosette wanted to grab the girl's hand and shake it, but she retained herself to just clasping her hands together at her own chest and beaming with sparkling eyes. Eyes as sparkly as the cape.

"Are you serious?" Rosette nearly gaped. "I don't think I've ever had more fun in my life! If you ever, ever do something like that again, you have to let me in on it. It was the best!"

So he sidled into Caritas and hopped up on a barstool. "I want something hard!" he said to no one in particular. "But I've never been drunk before! Educate me!"

Hmm. To let him get drunk, or to keep him from making more of an idiot of himself that usual when his girlfriend was out of town. Decisions....

"Get a Shirley Temple," she advised. "They're totally what you want. Trust me. Perfect for a first time drinker."
