Pizza Planet - Tuesday Lunchtime

After the carnival in the Danger Shop, Peter headed down to Pizza Planet to meet Willow.  It wasn't like carnival food had ruined his appetite.  

He took a seat and studied the menu, mentally crossing off the types of pizza that including pig.

"What if the cafeteria didn't have any cookies that day?"

"Sad day for lunchgoers then," Willow said.

"And would probably make for a rampaging monster looking for cookies."

"Would making cookies help to bring peace in our time, do you think?" Willow asked.

Peter blinked. "Hopefully not in a Munich Conference way."

"Well therein lies my point," Willow said. "Are we bridging cultural barriers between us and the cookie monsters or are we just enabling them in their destructive lifestyle by giving them what they want?"

"I'm pushing the cookie monsters in the oven if they try to steal our cookies," Peter said. "Thus ending the quandry."

"What if the cookies are already in the oven?" Willow asked. "You may have fallen for their trap."

"Not too intelligent of a monster if it tries to steal cookies before they're through making," Peter pointed out.

"Maybe it likes them in the halfway stage?" Willow suggested. "Like those cupcakes with the hot batter inside?"

"Hopefully the monster has an asbestos gullet then," Peter said, frowning slightly. "Otherwise he'll end up burned."

"He could blow on them," Willow pointed out.

"I...suppose?" Peter said. "Though it seems to defeat the purpose."

"Perhaps it's a part of monster culture we are not meant to understand," Willow said. "It could be a secret tradition passed on from parent to child, connecting them to their ancestors."

"Perhaps. Or perhaps this monster is a deviant and flies in the face of the traditions of his culture thereby defying his ancestors by stealing and eating cookies."

"Either way, we won't know until we try to talk to him," Willow said, nodding as though that solved the problem.

"Talk to our hypothetical monster?" Peter said. "Probably before I push him in the oven, hmm?"

"This is Fandom!" Willow said. "It could be a real monster!"

"NOW it will be," Peter replied, sticking his tongue out at her.

Willow wrinkled her nose at him and stuck her own tongue out in reply.

"I'm just saying," Peter said with a grin. "If we have a cookie monster attack, I'm blaming you."

"Well all right," Willow said. "But if the cookie monsters turn out to be friendly I so get to say 'I told you so'."

"Yes, because something referred to as 'monster' so often is jolly and kind," Peter replied.

"Because we've never heard of harmful stereotypes before," Willow replied.

"Not at all," Peter said with a wink.
