Caritas [Sunday Evening]

Greg opened up Caritas, mulling over the conversation from earlier in the day with his school-appointed and very grumpy little brother.

He whistled as he started to reassemble the band, and then took his place behind the bar and waving cheerfully to Jarod on the other side of the bar.

"It's less the drugs and more the magic you have to watch out for," he explained. "Or you could end up singing and dancing your way through the weekend."

"That mightn't be so bad, depending on the music."

"True." Jack smiled to himself, and shrugged. Some things you had to see for yourself. "I have to say, you don't seem at all phased by the idea of magic -- have they got it where you come from?"

Seely pointed down the bar. "There's a green guy...with horns, who tried to give me fashion advice. After that nothing can phase me."

"Good point." Jack took another drink and nodded at Seely. "I think you'll like it here. Just," he smirked again, "be careful who you poke. Parker was in a good mode."

"No poking the Parker when she's in a mood, gotcha."

"You meet anyone who didn't try and kill you? There's a lot of pretty people around here. Lots of single, pretty people. Who're often shirtless."

"Most of them wanted to hug me," Seely grinned dorkily. "Of course they thought I was someone else, but it was still nice."

"They think you're Angel, right? I'd run with it while you can. I would." Jack's face was the picture of smug as he added, "Not that I need the help."

"And you think I do? Thought about it," Seely admitted. "But Molly said I might get staked if I tried."

"Hey, I'm not saying a word, but only one us was lying in an alley, jacketless," he snickered. "Molly's wonderful, and she's probably right, which might put a bit of a damper on your fun."

"I was exactly where I wanted to be," Seely protested. "Plus she could take out a linebacker if she put her mind to it."

"Uh huh. Of course you were." Jack carefully didn't look sceptical. "And she could take out several. She's sweet, though."

"Yeah I got that impression." Seely grinned. "Both of them."

"Subtle. You need to learn subtle," Jack sighed. "Seriously."

"I can do subtle, I think."

"Good. Trust me on this one, if you can manage subtle, you'll spend a lot less time in alleys, and a lot more time in much more comfortable places." He paused, smirking. "Not that alleys can't be fun."

Seely smirked back. "That they can."

"You're a man after my own heart, Booth. Or my own something. Another beer?"

"We guys have to stick together." Seely waved Tino over. "My shout this time."

"Sounds good to me." Jack grinned at Booth. "So, what's it worth to you to get your jacket back?"

"Well...it is my best jacket, if not my favourite."

"Uh huh, what's it worth to you? Cause I might be able to convince Parker to give it back."

"Don't know if I could name a speficic price. I'd owe you a favour, several really."

"Deal." Jack grinned. "When she get back, I'll see what I can do. She has trouble resisting me."
