Empire Records - Open
Maureen opened the store for the first time.
She's spent the last few days going over Lucas's records and finding an apartment in town... ironicallyhandwavy renting it from a guy named Luke.
Now she was ready to start working and figuring out how to make Empire a successful business. She didn't know anything about running a business though. It couldn't be that hard though, right?
She stuck a Help Wanted sign in the window and got ready for the day.

Internally, Chad was bursting excitedly through the door. Externally, he was nonchalantly chugging in, slow and steady and stoic, and approached. "Looking for employees?" he drawled.

It wasn't until he was halfway through it that it clicked that she had called him 'sweetie.' He acknowledged the realization with a lift of his head, a slight glance up as if distrustful of his own hearing. Nope. That was definately a sweetie. Huh. He went back to finishing the application and, upon completing it, handed it back without a word. He figured it would speak for itself. Figuratively, of course. Literally speaking applications would just be silly.

"I don't have a whole lotta experience with earth music," Kaylee admitted. "Will that hurt my chances?"

"Nah, everything's in the computer," she said, glancing at the application. "What days can you work, Kaylee?"

There was a very distinctive noise of metal jangling together as El entered the music store.
