Imperial Junkyard, Thursday morning

For a change, Walter was only there for a workout and not violence therapy. He'd found another part of the junkyard that looked like it could use some clearing and was starting some wire practice.

His ribs complained at first, but once he was warmed up, he didn't notice, lost in a dance of precise destruction that was as close to meditation as he was likely to ever get.

[ooc: Open, but the sounds of falling metal and whipping wire would hopefully alert your character to walk cautiously before walking in where Walter's "working." I don't want him to cut any precious bits off of anyone.]

After talking to Xander first thing in the morning, Nadia headed into town to spend the day wandering about.

She heard the noises in the junk yard and went in to investigate, pretty sure of what she'd find.

She stood back aways and just kind of watched for awhile.

Walter finished dissecting an old deck chair that he'd tossed in the air and let the pieces fall to the ground before turning around to smile at Nadia.

"Hey. I didn't expect to see you here."

Nadia shrugged and smiled back. "I was in the area, thought I'd stop by. I like watching you do that."

"You can watch me any time you like," Walter said, leaning in to give her a quick kiss. "I didn't see you yesterday. How are you?"

"You're possibly the only one who didn't. I think I fed half the school lunch. What did you get up to?"

"I sparred with Tyler before work and had lunch at the restaurant. Then went back to my room to get some more reading in before school starts." Not that he'd been reading for pleasure, per se.

"Still the gun books? And tell me you didn't hurt Tyler too much."

"Still the gun books. And you'd be proud of me, we agreed to a draw."

"That was nice of you. He's a decent brawler, but he doesn't really have any finese."

Pippi was on her way to All & Sundries by the round about way when she heard that noise coming from the junkyard.

So she jumped off Old Man and went to watch for a bit.

"Hey." Walter whipped the wires back into his rings and went to join Pippi. "What's new?"

"Just heading over to do some shopping and I heard you in here." Pippi said.

"I'm just getting some practice in. I had a good spar with Tyler yesterday, so today's a good day for wire work." Walter said, grabbing a bottle of water he'd brought with him.

"What's news with you?"

"Pip and I are going sinking sailing on Friday and I'm also going to show my little sibling around town. I think I've been lax in my big sibling duties, he got called into the Principal's office this morning."

"It sounds as though things are going well with you and Pip?" A bit of a question, since he was hoping he'd never have to fulfill his threat to Pip.

"And what did your little sib do to get called in?"

"I guess?" Pippi said shrugging. "I don't have anything to compare it to really. And I don't know what he did. I'm supposed to meet him at All and Sundries later so I'll find out then."

"We should do something together soon. Blair had a good point about adventures with happy endings and needing more of them."

After his chat in the park with the angel, John set out to explore a bit of town. Studiously ignoring All and Sundries, he ducked down an alley way and found himself in front of the junkyard where a curious whirring noise could be heard.

Curious, he followed it until he saw that Walter kid dancing around in a rain of metal and parts. He narrowed his eyes and on closer inspection, saw that the kid had...something coming out of his fingers.

Bloody weird, that. John stood and watched for a a bit, a lit fag dangling from the corner of his mouth.

Walter had been keeping half an eye on places where people could approach from and finished up with the hubcap he'd thrown in the air like a frisbee, whipping the wires back into his rings.

"John, right?"

John nodded.

"Right. They pay you to do this, then?"

"No," Walter went to pick up his water bottle. "I do it for practice."

John quirked an eyebrow.

"And, does it make perfect?"

He wasn't getting any magic vibes off this kid, so...

"Better all the time," Walter said, pulling a pack of cigarettes out of his waistcoat. "What brings you to the junkyard?"

"Curiosity," he replied, releasing a mouthful of smoke.

"Has it been satisfied?" Walter asked, locating his lighter and taking a drag off his cigarette.
