Edmund grudgingly opened the store, but not without slapping a strip of gaffers tape over Baldrick's mouth.

The Common Room hadn't gone as well as Rayanne would have liked, so she found her way to town .

"Afternoon, my good sir," she said jauntily.

Edmund looked up from trying to figure out just what Jane and Seras had done to the books.

Oh, look, one of the rare students with manners. "Good afternoon."

"So do you sell beer?" Rayanne asked, glancing around the store. "And frozen pierogies. I have this craving."

"I'd suggest, wonder of wonders, checking the frozen food section for the pierogies," Edmund said, then pointed toward the liquor display, which today was near the front of the store. He sorely needed it after a week of Baldrick's singing.

"If you're craving pierogies and beer, may I suggest a pregnancy test to round out your shopping today?"

Rayanne faked a laugh, stopping it abruptly to make a point. "You're funny. That's completely impossible."

She hoped. It'd suck to get turned into Angela and she was pregnant.

She went into the store and found frozen pierogies, frozen fried shrimp, and a 6-pack of Budwiser. "How much?"

If anyone knew fake laughs, it was Edmund, but he really didn't care whether the girl was in the family way or not.

He rang up her purchases with the pregnant teenager markup and pointed to the total on the register.

"Fantastic," Rayanne said, handing over a generous amount of Rory's money."Keep the change."

She left the store with bag in hand.

Mmmpf.
