Baldrick has positioned himself in the frozen food section with his turnips and several bags of peas.

All the while muttering something about a "Cold War".

All and Sundries is open.

Clark came into all and sundries, on a quest for duck food. And not grubs this time. Saigo had liked them, but seemed to prefer those he could catch on his own.

Jane nods a greeting to the gentleman she's noticed at Caritas a few times but has yet to actually meet.

Clark waved, then adjusted his glasses. "Do you work at Caritas as well?"

"That I do sir." Mary nodded and held out her hand. "Jane Canary."

"Clark Kent." he shook her hand. "How long have you been in town?"

"Oh I'd say about... almost 2 months now?"

"I see. I hadn't realized it'd been that long since I've been in here."

"We'll I'm only in here on Thursdays and Sundays."

"May I ask, when are you from?"

"Originally, Missouri. More recently... Sorta... Town called Deadwood in the Montana territory."

Hmm, so late 1800's at least. "Montana's a state now." Clark said. "Just, uhm, in case you hadn't already heard that."

"Yeah, somebody showed me a map not to long ago." Jane said scratching her neck. "Still trying to wrap my head around that."

Clark tried to remmeber his american history. "How many states were there in your time?" he asked.

You know, Jane isn't entirely sure herself...

"Oh I'd say there were... ah... If you're trying to figure out when I'm from? The answer is 1876 or there abouts."

"That was part of it." Clark admitted. "But I was also trying to figure out just how much of a culture shock it must have been, finding out that there are 50 now."

"Yeah that wasn't really the most shocking thing."

Clark both snickered, and felt foolish. "No, no I guess it wouldn't be would it."

"So where are you from?"

"Kansas originally." Clark said, even thought that was technically a lie. "A town called Smallville."

Just because he's a staunch Capitalist now doesn't mean the "special Baldrick discounts" are no more.

Nadia wandered into All and Sundries, waved hello to Jane, Baldrick, and Lizzy, then set about gathering up a rather odd assortment of items along with a fair amount of the more gourmet type foods. . . .

Then went to find Baldrick, fully prepared to dazzle him with some bizarre ~~Milo Minderbinder-esque~~ higher mathematics that proved that if he sold her the items for less than the store had bought them for, he'd actually make Mr. Blackadder a profit.

Not that she expected to really need to, but it was fun, nonetheless.

Jane is rather dazzled and Lizzy is most impressed. Baldrick offers her a bag of frozen peas.

"Thank you, Baldrick. And make sure you give Mr. Blackadder another big hug and a kiss for me, okay?"

"I certainly will Miss." He said tipping his hat, causing several little white critters to jump about in confusion at the sudden influx of light.

Gyuh.

Nadia forced a smile and hurried from the store with her purchases.

Because Lizzy is so cute!
