The Park, Late Night Tuesday

Ranma was going to walk Mizu then hurry back to boil some water but... the air outside was nice. He hadn't been out all day so he went on a longer walk than he'd figured upon. He ended up in the middle of the park in nearly the same place he'd seen Chad a week ago. He finds himself compelled to sit down to think for a bit. Mizu seemed tucked out after the long walk and Ranma set him in his lap, where the puppy took a prompt nap. Ranma was merely going to wait a few minutes then carry Mizu back. But his eyelids sunk and he was still there asleep, as a she, on the park bench with a puppy in his lap.

"Uh, okay..." For once, Chad actually looked reluctant to take Mizu. The poor dog is probably terribly confused from all the pick-up, let-go. He held Mizu up and looked at his face a moment before settling him against his chest.

And frowned at Ranma. "You sure you're going to be okay?"

Chad sighed, realizing that he'd have to just be blunt. "You realize that you saying that makes it really hard for me to just leave you alone, because then I'll just feel really bad and worry a lot."

With another sigh, Chad fought down the urge to rub his temples. This girl had this impersonability fortress around her he just couldn't barrel through. And he was used to be able to barrel through anything. And what really got him was that Ranma didn't seem to be like this at all when she was a guy. He was really cool as a guy. Maybe it was the red hair; made her fiesty.

"Fair enough," he said finally, with a shrug. "Do what you need to do. I'll keep an eye on Mizu for you."

He held up Mizu's paw carefully, making him give a sad little paw-wave to Ranma, and then Chad dropped that arm to his side. "See ya later."

Chad turned a little on his heels and continued on his way.
