Baldrick is not only walking around with a top hat and cane...

But now he insists on being called not "Baldrick", but "Bustopher Jones".

Jane doesn't get it.

But when he wears white spats and nods to her...

She's rather proud.

Before Classes, Billy came in to do some grocery shopping. He paused when he saw the woman from the bar.

"Hey." Jane said nodding to the kid. "Fruit Juice."

"Uh, yeah, Billy actually."

"Nice to meet ya Billy Actually." Jane tipped her hat. "I'm Jane Canary."

*minor flail*

"No, I mean my name is actually Billy." he hoped to explain.

"Oh! Sorry about that. People 'round here are fuckin' strange so I just..." She waved her hands around.

"Nice ta meet you Billy."

Billy snickered. "Yes, yes they are." Hell his lit teacher's name was Thursday Next.

"Nice to meet you as well Jane."

"Give a holler if you need help fucking finding anything... But your best bet is to start in the last fucking place you'd look for... whatever you're looking for."

Billy nodded. "Got it, thanks."

"Don't mention it." She said putting her feet up on the counter and opening up another Dime Novel.

OK Corral huh? Wonder if the Doc is in here.

Billy collected some supplies for the common rooms, chips, cookies, soda, and some frozen food stuffs. He carted the lot up to the counter.

He noted what she was reading with a raised eyebrow. Cool.

Jane rang up Billy's purchases.

Or rather, she added up the total on the pad and didn't bother to add any sales taxes or other random charges as Blackadder might.

Billy was all in favor of that. Sure he might be one of the goodguys but he was still his father's son. Any way he could keep the Man out of his pockets was a good thing.

Billy realized something. "Hey do you know a guy named Pete Hutter?"

"Pete Hutter... Yeah, I met a guy by that name a while ago at Caritas."

"Are you two from about the same time period?"

"Oh I assume so." Jane nodded. "I didn't come right out and ask him but he'd heard of me and seemed to think I shoulda heard of him so I suppose it follows that we are. Though there's that River girl says I remind her of home but says she's from the future."

She finished adding up his purchases and made a receipt with the total on it.

"And then there's the Doctor, he's heard of me and I think he's from... Up in the sky or something... I'm iconic." she added with a rueful grin.

Billy smiled slightly. "Can't say Jane Canary rings a bell for me, sorry." he nodded to the dime novel. "them I've heard of."

"No worries. I'm not used to people recognizing me by anything other then 'That Crazy Cunt Used To Run With Bill Hickock'."

Billy snickered. "Heh. Bill Hickock is familiar. Would that be Wild Bill Hickock?"

Jane fished a bottle out from under the counter.

"That it would." she said pulling the cork out of the bottle. "Though I ain't ever heard of any, Shy Bill Hickocks, or Boring Bill Hickocks, or... Fucking... Tame Bill Hickocks."

"Yeah, not too many Alexander the Pretty Goods, or Ivan the Mildly Annoyings either."

"Not too many of those no."

Billy collected his purchases. "Good meeting you." he smiled.

Well... they were white.
