Wine, Wenches 'n Song [4-6pm FDT]

Barbossa was spinning himself silly in his chair waiting for the clock to shift over to 4 o'clock.

"Wheee! This be the pirate, it be Thursday, 'n this be Wine, Wenches 'n Song," he said into the microphone. "I be givin' ye advice 'n playin' yer requests. I can even be helpin' ye understand humor if ye be so terribly confused by it..."

He pushed a button. "Fer example, this song be unintentionally hysterical."

"MacArthur Park" blasted from the speakers.

"The pirate be in," he said as the song ended. "The phone lines be open. Bother me."

Sakurazaki had a bit more confidence when she called in this time.

"Hello, Pirate," she said gravely. "We meet again. I have another song request to make."

"Well, I admit," Sakurazaki said, "that I don't have a specific song in mind, but this weekend is a very important day. Three month anniversary. So I'd like to dedicate a song to my, um, boyfriend--" Yes, she'll probably always stagger over that word, "to commemorate that."

Phoebe had never requested a song from Barbossa before, and she decided she wanted to. She dialed the number and waited for him to pick up.

There was some loud scratching and then a sigh. "Is this thing working?" Came a purr.

"I'm bored. Do you have room for another radio person thing?" There was a loud crash and a few curses. "Get back here you stupid thing."

Berthold missed his blanket. And he had noticed that people could make things happen after talking into the strange object with buttons on. It was worth a try.

He picked up the thing and pressed the buttons randomly. And by chance that just happened to be the pirate radio phone number.

When there was a sound from the plastiv thing he held in one of his tentacles he squealed as loudly as he could, hoping that would do the trick.

The plastic thing was speakting to him. Berthold cheerfully waved to it and sniffled loudly, hoping that would make it happy.

At some point during the day, a baker's box of rum cookies (http://www.cooks.com/rec/doc/0,193,155190-231199,00.html) was delivered to the radio station, accompanied by a note.

Mr Barbossa,

Thank you for all your lovely work. If you could play a song or two that had some sort of 'doctor' theme, I'd be terribly grateful.
