Sam was behind the bar again, trying not to be resentful of Parker's boyfriend for abandoning his post--especially when she could definitely use something to keep herself busy and this would be a good way to make sure her life didn't consist of just classes, her swoop bike, and Jack.

So here she was, trying to memorize the drink manual and ignore the zombies, who very probably didn't look hungry and had already been fed.

Besides, they were playing down and dirty rock music in the background, which was always fun.

She's still better with the easy drinks, but may be able to do some shots. If you want something more complicated, Tino's always available.

Needing to get out of the dorms for a while, Cameron was surprised to find Sam behind the bar. "Yo, Sam!"

"Cameron!" Sam smiled, genuinely pleased to see him. "What can I get for you?"

"Why not? Everyone else gets served," she said with a shrug.

Cameron blinked. "You work here now? Man, I need to come out more."

She grinned. "It's my second night--I was here last Monday, too. I guess Parker's boyfriend flaked out, and Mr. Bluth needed a replacement. So, here I am."

What better way to finish up a day of gun cleaning with a distinct lack of crazy confessions than to celebrate with a drink! Rosette's in a good mood when she waltzed into the bar, spinning in the stool she chose a bit before considering what she might want tonight.

Wheeee! Rosette braced herself on the bar to get her focus again, chuckling. "I'm not quite sure yet. Have you any particular recommendations?"

"I specialize in beer, wine, and anything with an 'n' in the middle," Sam said, trying not to laugh at the woman.

"Anything with 'n' in the middle," Rosette repeated in a thoughtful murmer, thinking of what that constituted as. N...n... "Rum. No wait! That doesn't work." She laughed, shaking her head. "But rum sounds good."

"I can do rum," Sam said as she reached for the bottle. "Want it in a glass, straight up, with ice, or mixed with something else?"

Aeryn shows up later, a little surprised to see Sam behind the bar. "You work here now?"

"Parker's boyfriend flaked, so I'm covering his shifts for a while," Sam explained with a shrug. "Want something?"

"Rummincoke," she says. "Feel free to go heavy on the rum."

"Rough night?" Sam asked, making a very, very pale rum and coke for Aeryn and giving it to her.

Sam poured herself a glass of coke and raised it. "To Anakin."

She's never been one for toasts, but this one makes sense. She raises her glass. "To Anakin."

After sipping it, she says, "I have no idea how he dealt with what, a year of teaching this? I've got a whole new respect now."
