Caritas, Thursday night

Phoebe showed up at work and was in a fairly calm mood.

She put some of the zombie band back together and then opened the door.

It was Thursday night and Caritas was open.

Cally came in and sat down at the bar. "Water, please," she said, with a smile.

Phoebe smiled. "Hey, Cally."

"Hey Phoebe," Cally said. She huffed and blew her bangs out of her eyes. "Happy belated birthday."

"Thannk you." She gave Cally her water. "How are you?"

"Eh, the eye is a little sore, but otherwise, doin' alright," Cally said. "How about you?"

"I'm okay. Had a serious discussion with Cole on Sunday... and then with Blair yesterday."

Rosette came in, humming that song the pirate played on the radio earlier, which was now stuck in her head. And, she figured, the best way to get a song with whiskey in the title of it was to get whiskey in herself.

"Hello! Can I get a nice line of whiskey shots, please?"

Her treasure hunt work had been going well, and it has her in an exceptionally good mood.

Chrono struggled onto the stool next to Rosette, and asked for a chocolate milke.

"Of course, sister."

"Thank you very much!" She went back to the humming until they were ready.

Phoebe made up the drinks and handed them over.

Rosette took care of business first and paid for the drinks before announcing, "Down the hatch!" and cleaning them off quickly with a big grin on her face. She bounced in her seat a bit. God, she loved that.

Phoebe laughed. "Good day?"

"Hey, bra!" Clatter, clatter, trip, headbar!

Phoebe moved quickly to help him up. 'Hi Jude."

"Um, hey." Jude smiled at her sheepishly. "Thanks, bra."

"You're welcome. What's up?"

"Nothin' much." Jude pulled a now slightly-squished pastry box from his pocket and handed it over with a sheepish smile, hoping the cake slice would remain more or less intact. "I, uh, heard it was your birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday?"
