Selkie Cove: Tuesday early evening

Lana just didn't feel like going back to her room after class - not to either of the rooms she thought of as hers, actually. She walked aimlessly for a long time and eventually found herself staring out at the ocean by her old standby, Selkie Cove.

She managed a smile at the randomness that had brought her here and climbed up onto her favorite rock to sit and stare out over the ocean. Her coat and gloves weren't warm enough to stop her shivering from the ocean breeze and the cold of the rock under her, but she didn't want to leave.

It had been an interesting weekend, though Saigo had not found out just why his human had reacted so strongly to the hairless one.

He was performing one last patrol of the island to make sure he was gone before heading back, and spotted a familiar sapien below. Saigo came in for a landing.

//And you. Are you well?//

//That is good. Has he learned not to surprise Fandom Waterfowl?// Ducks don't have facial expressions, but the smile was implied.

Yes, ducks do laugh. //How have you been spending your time since then?//

//Attempting to adjust to the increasing cold, and keeping the island safe.//

//The bouncy glasses human has left. As a warrior, I do my best to fill the void. Fortunately aside from a suspicious hairless human this weekend, it has been quiet.//

//The bouncy one was long an enemy of my people. But he defeated a powerfull threat to this island, proving himself a good, if misguided human. You need guarding?//

Matilda had never really gone exploring around the island much. She would have asked the twins to join her but she left on rather short notice and didn't want to disturb them. She ended up on the shore of the ocean by chance and saw someone in the distance. She approaches quietly and calls to the person softly as she nears, "Hello there."

"Oh! Lana!" Matilda sits down next to her. "It's great to see you. I've been doing well. How about you?"

[identity profile] bookwormwood.livejournal.com 2006-10-25 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm afraid not. She's a principal of a school so she's usually really busy. I'll go visit her sometime instead." She nodded. "Did you have a guest this weekend?"

"Well the good news is it's over right?" She smiles encouragingly and tries for a subject change in case she doesn't want to talk about it. "That book you reccomended was interesting. I liked it a lot."

[identity profile] bookwormwood.livejournal.com 2006-10-25 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
"I found them and read them already actually..." She laughs and grins sheepishly.

"Yes. That's one of my favorite things about books." She smiles too.
