Trick or Treat - All Day

Today was Halloween and Fandom Town wanted to contribute to the Holiday. Someone at Town Hall had apparently overdone himself and spread flyers around town with the Trick or Treat route on it. He did have to put them safely on window sills or benches to avoid the small growling vampire pumpkins from trying to roll over them.

After sunset, the route would be lit by torches and if you ran into a troopers, chances were they had swapped their helmet for a scary mask. They were staying clear of the Sheriff just in case, though.

((~~ZOMG, gimme time for the OCD.~~ OCD is up. Wait to comment in threads until the owners have tagged into it. If anyone would prefer to make their own Trick or Treat post and just tag in here with a link for people to follow, that is perfectly fine as well.

"Yeah, he talks." Faithful grinned as Alanna rolled her eyes again.

Rosette's head tilted a bit; she adjusted her horns as she inspected Faithful.

"Oh, well, now I don't feel bad at all. A talking cat should have been able to get out of having to wear a costume like that without a problem."

"Exactly!" Alanna beamed. "I hate you all." Faithful mewled.

Luke reached out to pet the cat ~~like a moron~~. "It's traditional. Or something," he said.

Faithful had been eyeing the plush costume for some time now. With a loud yowl, he dug his claws into the M&M. "Mrowr." "Bugger." Alanna summarized.

Luke waved his wee M&M arms, trying to get the cat off of his head. Having limited visibility wasn't really helping matters.

"Fine," he said, taking the peevish tone he normally used when talking to Threepio. "You want to stay up there?"

"Mrowr." Said Faithful and dug his claws in a little deeper. Take that as you will. "Sorry?" Alanna asked and fished around for her camera.

Luke sighed and left Faithful where he was. "Fine. One free ride for the cat in a dress," he muttered, heading out the door.

Rosette giggled.

Chrono fidgetted with his halo and gave the contemptuous cat a small smile. "I feel your pain, little guy..."

Rosette snorted. "Psh. You liked your costume the other day, Chrono."

"Oh, yeah. Loved it..."

Molly snickered behind her hand at Faithful and Chrono. "Thank you for the candy, uh, sister," she said when she was sure she wouldn't laugh out loud.

"Ohhh, you're welcome!" Rosette beamed. "I like your boots!"

Molly showed them off a little. "Thanks! They are pretty cool. I ~~handwavey~~ got them at Stuff for Sale this morning, but shhh," she put a finger over her lips and leaned forward to whisper, "I'm going to try and return them tomorrow because I really can't afford them."

Rosette smirked a little, gave Molly a sly wink. "You're secret's safe with me," she whispered back.

...Rosette would have to try that one of these days.

"Treat?" Buffy said hopefully. She couldn't trick a nun, not even one dressed up as a devil.

"Of course!" Rosette held out the big bowl of chocolate bars and Bible-verse mints; beaming at Buffy helped to keep her from staring wide-eyed at the creepy scary make up. Or what she hoped was creepy scary make-up, but you could never tell. "Help yourself."

Cameron was studying the Bible-verse mints and grinned. "My grandma would love these."

Rosette chuckled a little. "Yeah, ain't they a hoot?" She shook her head a little. "The shit some people come up with, right? Sure makes my job easier, though..."

Her jaw shifted a little, mouth making a little 'o' as she realized she probably shouldn't have said most of that outloud. She chuckled a little nervously at herself.

That probably was the first time Cameron heard anyone religious talk like that. His grandma would have a heartattack right about now, Cameron however was merely amused. "I suppose it does."

Rosette was still shocked that the regular little old lady population of the church was still kickin'. Despite her best efforts...

She just beamed, though, glad that her slip didn't cause total gawking from the scarecrow guy.
