Despite the fact her office is now all back in one piece, and clean and it's been a couple of weeks since the last bout of destruction, Aiden's still a little posessive of the place. She's even been poking her head out of the door every once in a while just to check there isn't anything about to come and rampage through it again. Re-painting it twice in her first two weeks was more than enough for her.

The office is open and the 'Free Spy Pen' sign is still in the window. After all, she still has some leftover, and it did draw people in the last time she did it.

Around noonish, the Doctor popped his head into the office. "What sort of pen is it?" he asked.

Aiden paused befor she answered, because she really thought the sign was fairly self-explanatory. She bit back her sarcasm and smiled. "A free one," she said wandering around to the front of her desk to find the box.

"What color ink?" the Doctor asked.

Aiden frowned and pulled one out to take a closer look. After a moment she scrawled something on a post-it on her desk, or tried to at least.

"Invisible," she announced. She wasn't about to tell him it just didn't work, after all.

"Oh, very clever," the Doctor said. He stepped forward and smiled, extending a hand. "I'm the Doctor."

"Aiden," she told him taking his hand and grinning. "You not got another name to go with that 'Doctor' title of yours?"

"Nope," the Doctor said. "Well, I went by Doctor John Smith for awhile, but that was just for paperwork reasons. What brings you to town, Aiden?"

"Place that gets attacked by trolls my first week ..." Aiden rolled her eyes, "Why wouldn' I want to be here?"

She shrugged, adding a more explanatory, "Was thinkin' I needed a change. S'definitely different."

"It's very unique," the Doctor said. "Adjusting well? Taking in the sights? Dancing at the Devil's nightclub?"

Pippi is flouncing down to the store to get some supplies for that evening when she notices the sign.

"Spy pen?"

"Spy pen," Aiden confirmed tapping the edge of the box full of them on her desk. "Want one, kid?"

"Oh yes please!" Pippi considered the box and carefully selected one that looked exactly the same as all the others.

"What makes it a spy pen?"

"Went round tellin' people there wouldn't be much point in it bein' all secret an' spy-like now would it?" Aiden said picking up one of the pens (http://www.ajoka.com/Spy_Pen/MP-005.htm) herself. She's still not admitting that she doesn't really know what the hell she'd do with it either.

"I suppose that's true." Pippi nodded.

She examined the pen. Carefully, she tried to unscrew the two segments that made up the body of it.

Aiden watched the girl fiddle for a moment, then curiousity got the better of her. "What's with the wreath?" she asked.

"Today is the feast of Santa Lucia." Pippi explained unscrewing the pen and opening it up.

"I was playing the Queen of Light... Would you like some gingerbread cookies oh hey you can open it up and put secret messages inside!"

"Think you can do that with most pens that unscrew, though," Aiden pointed out picking up a pen herself.

"You're givin' out gingerbread cookies?"

"Huh... Okay." Pippi said trying to reassemble the pen without upsetting all the stuff that turned out to be inside it.

"Yes, that's what you do when you're the Queen of Light during LucyFest... That and visit Children's Homes and mall openings."

Nadia went out for a walk after classes, but before cheerleading practice, just to wander around and think about things, and enjoy the decent weather.

When she spotted the sign, she just had to go in and check it out.

"What, exactly, makes it a 'spy pen'?"

Aiden gave the box a once-over just to check for instructions one last time. "Think you're supposed to figure that out yourself," she said, holding it out towards so she could take one if she wanted it. "You find out, you tell me 'kay?"

Nadia figured that, as a spy, she ought to be able to figure it out pretty well.

Of course, as an investigator, so should this person, right?

"Will do. Nadia Santos, by the way. I'm a student at the school."

"Aiden Burns," she said. "And I run this place when it's not being rampaged through by rabid trolls."

"Private detective agency," she added, just for clarification purposes. She had already been asked what it was once today, so she's not really insulting Nadia's intelligence, just making sure she knows.

"That's what I guessed, from the sign on the door. Well, if I need anything privately detected not dirty, I know where to come not dirty. Nice to meet you."

"Nice t'meetcha too, Nadia," Aiden replied. "It's a small island. I'm sure I'll see ya around."
