Caritas - Friday evening [Open]

GOB was... not at Caritas at the moment.

Tino was, though. And thus he declared it Shirtless Friday! Nobody ever got to see his abs. Or... him. The life of an NPC was tough. But now he was ready to put himself out there in front of the world with his great body and--

GOB walked into the bar. "Put a shirt on," he ordered. Tino sighed but complied. The same couldn't be said for the zombie bass player.

[OOC: GOB was away for a little bit when the bar opened but returned after not too long. I am around. ETA: Mostly around. I seem to have some connection hiccupping tonight. Fun. If I'm too slow for you at all, please mod Tino.]

Seriously, don't get too close to the base player. He doesn't try to be creepy, his heart's in the right place, it's just that you can see that his heart's in the right place. And all dead and stuff. Eww.

sitting cross legged on the edge of the stage, there is a disembodied lower torso. Please don't go through it's pockets.

GOB saw the lower torso, then looked to the zombies. "Which one of you lost half of your body?"

The torso began to kick it's feet.

GOB then noticed that all of the zombies were still standing. "Are you a new guy?" he asked. "What do you play?"

The right foot began to tap, except that it wasn't in time with anything that might be playing in Caritas.

"Can you dance?" GOB asked.

The legs gave no indication that they heard him, because, no legs.

"I SAID, CAN YOU DANCE?" GOB repeated as if speaking louder would help.

~~I totally meant to type no EARS up there.~~

still nothing.

"I never thought I'd say this to one of you guys, but buddy? You're fired! You don't ignore your boss like that! At least grunt or something!" GOB yelled.

He still wasn't understanding the lack of ears thing.

No response. :D

"Fine! Stay there!" GOB yelled, figuring the zombie legs would listen to those orders.

"There you fucking are!"

The legs continued to kick the stage idly, almost cheerfully.

"Come on Stumpy."

The legs couldn't hear her, but would follow if led.

Jane starts to walk backwards while making "come with me" motions with her hands.

Never mind there are no eyes to see, but she's leading.

Well the legs went, but they kinda stumbled into things and might have gone off in the wrong direction.

Jane walked up to it and grabbed it by ~~hopefully~~ a belt loop and pulled it the other way.

Belt loop it was. This kept the legs pretty well on course.

"Let's go find the rest of you and put you back together so I can beat the fuck outta that scrawny bald guy." Jane muttered.

Somehow, she figured this would be more difficult then duct taping the zombie band.

If you went too close to the bass player, drinking might be a good idea. Drink to forget what zombie organs look like!

Rosette came in that night without her usual vigor. She'd chosen Caritas over the Devil's Nest because, now that she knew, she just didn't feel right patronizing the devil. True, she wasn't a very good nun overall, but, for the most part, that just seemed wrong. She'd been thinking about it a lot ever since she had to make the choice, plopping ponderously onto a barstool. She felt like she should be feeling....something regarding the whole situation, but didn't. Not really. And that her worrying.

"Hello, Sister," GOB said. "What'll you have tonight?"

"Mmm, I'm not really sure," Rosette said, shifting the gears in her head a moment to consider what she might feel like having. "Maybe jus' a scotch on the rocks..."

This really didn't sound like the insane, drunken nun GOB knew and loved for her money. "Everything okay?" he asked, getting Rosette's drink together.

Rosette sighed a little, scratching the back of her head through her veil. "Uh, yeah, everything's fine. Just stuck in a little bit of what you might call a theological conundrum..."

"Why would I call it that?" GOB asked. He had no clue what it meant.

"Because that's what it is?" Rosette guessed, with another sigh, this time bringing her slumping on the bar. "I mean, really, what the hell is a nun supposed to do when you discover the devil in flesh incarnate waltzing around? Am I required to do something? They don't exactly teach ya stuff like that at the seminary, and it sure as hell wasn't in my missionary job description..."

GOB handed over the drink and frowned. "The what is waltzing?" He was sure he heard something wrong there. Just to be safe, he poured a drink for himself.

"The devil," Rosette said and downed a good gulp of the drink. "Satan, Lucifer, the Morning Star, the Dark Prince, so on and so forth. The guy's got more names than a Mexican nun. And apparantly, unless Chrono's being a complete ass, he owns the other bar in town."

"Please. He's not the devil, he's just some jackass who wishes he could be me," GOB said. Despite attempting to say that with confidence, he downed his drink and immediately started to refill his glass.

Rosette stared at GOB for a moment, and then sighed. If she didn't have a demon from hell itself telling her otherwise, she'd be just as skeptical. But Chrono would not lie about something like this...She slumped again. This bar was good for slumping.

"You know what, Sister? Your drinks are on the house tonight," GOB said. "It creeps me out too much when you're not energetic to make you pay."

He meant it in a much kinder way than he may have said it.

"Really?" Suddenly, Rosette certainly didn't seem to have much trouble finding energy when she heard that. She sat up immediately.

"'Tis the season, right?" GOB asked, already starting to regret it. Oh well. At least between this offer and the "devil" running the other bar, he had solidified a regular customer.

"Merry early Christmas."

"Eeeee, thank you!" Rosette beamed at GOB with a genuine twinkle of appriciation in her eyes as she quickly drained down her drink to quickly get another free one.

"Tino! Keep them coming for the Sister, oka--" GOB paused when he saw Tino. "Seriously, what's wrong with you? Put your shirt back on. What are you, drunk or something?"

"Sorry you had to see that, Sister."

Rosette waved a dismissive hand. "S'okay," she assured him. "As a nun, I have a built up tolerance to the revealing of flesh."

True, that tolerance weakened when it came to certain, blonde clergymen, but no one needed to know that.

Now the zombie drummer is considering learning the organ. I think he's reading my narrative. Good thing he can't really think or verbalize anything.

Yes, my inner Ron is getting out a bit in narrative tonight. But he's having fun.
