James T. Kirk Memorial Causeway: after classes

Going back to 1955 was requiring fashion sacrifices. Parker had opted for a longer skirt than usual; flatter heels than usual; and a trenchcoat, because hey, that's classic. She had a folded-up copy of the newspaper article in one pocket, and a set of kid's walkie-talkies for communicating if they got separated in Crabapple Cove.

She was waiting for the group; as soon as everyone was there and Willow had given them whatever spell she'd worked up, it was time to go retrieve Hawkeye.

[for the rescue party-- OCD up. Second post going up later this evening]

This would be where being possessed by a teenage girl from 1950's New Jersey over the summer comes in handy.

She even wearing her Pink Lady jacket...

Hey.

"Yeah, sorry... It was all I had that would blend in."

Willow was there. She had a backpack full of books, her laptop, and magic supplies.

Of course this was her yellow happy face backpack, but she saw no reason why rescue missions couldn't be cheery.

"Yep," Willow said. She turned her walkie talkie on to make sure the battery was good. "Locator, shield, find our way home, and teeth whitening."

Isabel had dropped off Benjamin, changed into something a little more conservative and fifties-ish, then slowly walked through the snow down to the causeway, hoping like hell Greg wasn't going to be mad. But she had left him a handwavey message earlier in the day, and at this point it was too late to worry about it. Of course tonight she was going to have to come home and leave him a message about yet another rescue mission. Yup, he definitely wasn't going to be happy.

"I am," she nodded. "The egg child is with his daddy for the night so I'm free." Rolling her eyes, Isabel looked down at her outfit. "I tried for the good girl look."

Sam walked up, carrying a plethora of maps and print-outs of the interstate system, circa 1955, and wearing some of her Sandy-wear from over the summer. And no, not the leather pants--though she'd never get used to wearing petticoats.

She waved.

Peter had his backpack filled with some supplies. He had his webshooter, some sunglasses, and his Biology books.

Look, he was a nerd. He might need time to study.

"We about good to go?" he asked.

"We're good," Isabel nodded, kicking at some of the snow. "Magical causeway, here we come."

Pippi looked around for a street sign.

"Well, my navigation skills tell me the first step in figuring how to get somewhere is to find out where you are..."

"I'm standing next to you," Willow pointed out helpfully, in case that narrowed things down.

"And we're next to Parker!"

"There's the post office," Isabel pointed out. "Maybe some one wants to go in and ask? This is small town America after all."

Doctor Daniel Pierce was indeed shovelling snow off the sidewalk. He wasn't paying attention to the kids in the street, but he was humming to himself.

"He does," Isabel nodded. "Now who's going to go over and explain who we are and why we're looking for his son?"
