The Park - Thursday - Late Afternoon/Early evening

Park benches weren't really conducive to writing out paper work, but Yondaime was tired of sitting in his office working. There was more on his mind though that just paper work as he sat there, mostly thoughts of home that he had hoped would stay there when he came back.

The blond sighed as he put down the paper work and watched the ducks floating around in the pond and smiled slightly; things could be worse.

Probably one of the best-known ninja skills was being able to move near-silently. Kabuto walked up behind the blond, crossing his arms as he looked over his shoulder at the paperwork.

"Working hard?" he asked innocently.

Another well known ninja skill was being able to sense people nearby. Yondaime sighed, still looking out at the ducks on the pond. "Hardly working more like."

Hey, you couldn't win everything. It wasn't like he was really trying to be completely undetected. "So it seems. Classes haven't even begun, and you're already busy. A Hokage's work is never done?"

"I'm not a Hokage, I haven't been for years. I was merely gone for a time and have paper work to make up." Yondaime explained.

"Once Hokage, always Hokage." Kabuto shrugged, still watching him closely. Suddenly, he smiled. "Can I help?"

"No, I don't think it's something you can help on, it's just paper work for the classes and school." He said non-chalantly and glanced up at Kabuto. "So does anyone besides you know that I'm here?"

"As of right now?" Kabuto shook his head. "No. Not yet. Why? Were you trying to stay secreted away here?" He sat down on the bench beside him after moving some of the papers.

"Perhaps, I don't think it would really do anyone any good to know that I'm here." He said, taking the papers off of the bench and moving them into a neat pile.

"Any good?" Kabuto echoed. "I don't know. I can think of someone who'd be thrilled to find out about you here."

"In the long run, would it do that person more good or more harm?" Yondaime asked, since it was possible for Kabuto to be talking about several people.

"That would be up to him." Kabuto scratched at the back of his neck. "I'm just the messenger."

"And you trust him not to shoot the messenger?" Yondaime chuckled.

"Absolutely." Kabuto wasn't faking that conviction. "And if he does; I don't mind."

The blond quirked an eyebrow. "I see, well I don't see where the information will do him much good. unless he plans on coming here."

"Maybe he does. I don't pretend to know what he's thinking." Kabuto leaned back, looking up at the sky. "Oh. But I think I forgot something." He looked back to Yondaime. "I'm Yakushi Kabuto. Since we're going to be working together, and all."

"I figured that was who you were. There aren't really many else from Sound who would know who I am or be so interested in passing on the information." Yondaime pointed out as he leaned back agaisnt the bench, looking up at the sky.

"That's true." Kabuto smiled. "At least, I'm the only one who'd be polite about it." He studied Yondaime. "I'm not the only one who knows who you are. But the others can't be trusted to not get themselves killed by challenging you outright."

"Hmmm, it seems like Sound if full of truly intelligent people then." He said sarcasticly. "Orochimaru's a bigger fool than I remember if you're the only one around he can trust."

Kabuto, to his credit, kept from fidgetting and also kept his temper. "Well, it's between myself and Sasuke." He raised an eyesbrow. "And really, that's not much of a contest."
Looking away from Yondaime, he continued, "When you're surrounded by the power-hungry, it's not an easy task placing trust in any of them."

"I suppose not. Though, in his position you'd think that he would stop surrounding himself with people who will ultimately betray him."

"He knows he can beat them all," Kabuto replied confidently, clasping his hands in his lap. "Which is more than many can say." He stood up, glancing at Yondaime. "I won't say I can take you on and win. But I also won't say that I would lose. I only have one thing I can say."

He leaned over Yondaime, too close for comfort. "Can you trust me?"

Yondaime's face was serious as he looked at Kabuto, answering bluntly. "No."

"Good." Kabuto straightened. "Is there be any sort of time when I should seek you out? Or am I to be kept in the dark about your class plans as much as the rest of them?"

Yondaime grinned. "I'm a ninja, I have to be mysterious about some things." That and it all depeneded on how many people ended up being in the class.

"Mysterious. Right." Kabuto tried not to laugh, and failed. "You keep your mysteries, Hokage. I'll keep mine."
