Around Town, Early Monday Morning

Amy got up early and walked outside. It was lightly raining, but she rather did nto mind water. She started stretching, gettign ready for the jogging. She was nto sure if Billy really meant it that he was going to join her, but she looked around for him anyway.

And here he was, dressed simply on loose fitting trousers and long sleeved t-shirt, and sneakers.

"Good morning." he smiled.

Ami was upside down. Well rather she was completely bent over, doing leg stretches, so for all intents and purposes, she was upside down.

"Morning!" Her face brightened. "Weather is not cooperating." It was somewhere at this point that she wondered how someone ran with a prosthetic leg.

Billy absolutely did not admire the view. Okay he did but he was discreete about it. "that's okay." he said. "It's still fine for running, if not maybe for gratuitous ~~showing off~~ gymnastics."

"Excellent" Ami continued stretching, making sure he had time to stretch as well, and not wanting to appear like she was ready and waiting for him. On the other hand begin mostly done stretching allowed her to get a good look at the rather fascinating looking boy.

Billy did his own stretching. Part of that was to stay loose, and it also helped test the tightness of the straps holding his leg on. Since he did this often, he was rather limber.

Ami watched him stretch. "Ready?" She bounced up and down, ready to see the town. "You will have to lead i have not really been to town yet."

"Ready." Billy said, starting off. "We'll get to the beach first." he said. "I figure we can go down at least to the park along Appocalypse Avenue."

"Lead on fearless leader." She followed, slipping into an easy jog.

Billy led her out of the school gates, where there still might be pieces of Troll statues lying about, and down the hill towards the beach.

Ami followed him down the path, taking in the scenery of the troll statues. She had not realized there was a beach and was rather looking forward to it now.

Soon they had reached a vantage point where the beach was visible not far below them. "There's another one on the other side of the island." he said. "But that one's very rocky."

"ROcky beaches are sort of useless" Ami said as she jogged in place a little, to get a better view. "This oneis pretty though."

"Not neccesarily." he said. "I've gone there for balance exercises, and there's seals."

"Seals? Live ones?" ami sounded excited.

"Yep. They seem to like the rocky beaches."

"Can we go look?" Ami rather liked animals.

"Sure." Billy smiled. "It's on the other side of the island though." he challenged. "You up for it?"

Ami shrugged. She was still jogging in place. "Sure. Were we going to go around the entire island?"

"Hadn't decided." he said. "Sort of flying by the seat of my pants here." He started off down the road.

If that caused Ami to look at the seat of his pants, well, it was his fault really. She followed him down the road, matching his pace.

Billy didn't notice. If he had he wouldn't have minded. He pointed out some of the sights. The park, the direction to Caritas and other places like that.

Ami had read about Caritas in the brochure. "What is over there?" SHe pointed in a *handwaivey* direction.

"Efferton Manor." billy said. "It's uh, not a popular place these days."

"Oh? How come?"

"That's where the Trolls holed up." he explained. "They held some students and townies hostage in there."
