Lucifer was behind the bar again today, having enjoyed the experience so much the last time he did so. Mazikeen stood at the end of the bar, hoping he wouldn't upset her delicate system of color sorted umbrellas.

If she didn't stop hovering soon, Mazikeen would find herself banned from the bar area whenever Lucifer was back there.

The Devil's Nest is open for business!

Lana opened the store in the afternoon, feeling rather pleased with the classes that she'd had so far and even more pleased that both she and Jim had the whole day free together tomorrow.

Amy got up early and walked outside. It was lightly raining, but she rather did nto mind water. She started stretching, gettign ready for the jogging. She was nto sure if Billy really meant it that he was going to join her, but she looked around for him anyway.

This weekend, Braca joined match.com. Having been bored at home (again) and with the internet his only real connection to the world, he'd found the site, signed up (using the name iamthebestadmiral, and immediately gotten an email from sweetandsassy4289 about wanting to talk.

She'd stopped emailing him after he'd told her of his affection for world domination but Braca was optimistic on the future.

Confessions

Now, here was something she hadn't done in a while. With Chrono's help, Rosette set up her gun case in her side of the confessional, hoping that everyone decided to stay as sinful as they usually were and not want to confess anything. She had a lot to do today. She couldn't exactly have a weapons room, so she had to make sure what meager collection she did have was impressive in its own right.

[[ school's back in session for me, which means church posts should be getting regular again. sorry for the slack over the holiday. open for all your churchly needs, confessional threads are NFB ]]

Jane is in the liquor section...

Doing... Inventory.

Really.

Today's Squishy Flavors:
Red, Butter, Scotch

All and Sundries is open.

Chad was still having trouble waking up today. Not even his grande supercharged espresso latte seemed to be helping much, which he sipped idly as he lazily went about his tasks through the store. Inventory, stock, helping customers, so on, so forth. He even tried playing peppy music to get himself a little more into things, but it was definately a slow and sluggish Chad day. The frequency of "Hey Mickey" on whatever mix this was he was playing really didn't help, and earned a lot of glares at the speakers whenever it came on. He wondered if Pippi would accept that he reconsidered the whole thing and would let him back out of it.

There were other things to consider, too. In his downtime, leaning over the counter, Chad held out two tickets. Only two. He was going to have to decide who the heck to take with him to the concert. It...wasn't going to be an easy choice to make...

She'd had a great first half of the day. She had enjoyed Dr. Wilson's class immensely and knew her semester with him was going to be great. As she sat now on a park bench, she was looking over the notes she had taken for her other classes. Just her own little tidbits on what she expected. She was tapping her pen against her notebook now as she stared down at where she had written Home Economics. Then she added two question marks next to it.

Really, she had no idea what to expect. Hopefully to learn something about cooking and...stuff. She literally had no clue when it came to the kitchen so hoped the class would be beneficial. She didn't know anything about the teacher either. Emma Frost was a nice name. Hopefully the teacher was as well.

Aiden opened her office this morning after the weekend, and found that something was making the place smell. Really smell.

Two hours later after a thorough search that involved moving almost every piece of furniture in the place around, she still hasn't figured out where it's coming from, or what it is.

This is why Aiden can be found, complete with several layers, sitting on the chair from her desk outside the open door. She's not looking all that pleased, surprisingly enough.

It was his first shift at the diner today and in honour of Luke, Cameron was wearing his cap backwards. He was actually in a pretty good mood despite the fact that he had been hiding out from the flood of new students. If anyone asked, he wasn't sulking over the holidays being over.

Schrodinger was not concocting new cocktails behind the bar.

Instead, he was messing with the umbrellas.

Beause he's evil.

The Devil's Nest was open.
[identity profile] jarodpretends.livejournal.com
Jarod was more than a little surprised when he showed up at Caritas, laptop under one arm, and smelled smoke. Then he noticed the lack of dance floor and couldn't imagine what had happened.

The zombies were more than happy to tell him about the fire, complete with sound effects and not-completely-flattering descriptions of their employer's reaction. Tino just rolled his eyes a lot as he finished moving the lounge furniture back into position.

After ten minutes of smelling the smoke he developed a slight headache, and decided to leave the door open for a while to air the place out. It was a little cold, but the air was fresh and brisk.

[ooc: Caritas is open!]

Billy had made himself a mix cd of what he considered the best meditation music in his collection. There was some Enya, Native American music, tori Amos, Jimmy Buffet, new agey stuff, nature sounds.

he wasn't listening to that because the sound of the waves was so much better. He was bundled up against the cold, and had forgone any insence in favor of the natural aromas of the scene. Plus it was called Serenity Cove. How could he go wrong?

He lay down on the sand and slowed his breathing as best he could. He had with him a thermos of chamomile tea, and partook of some of it.

ooc: post is open.
