Empire Records; Wednesday [ 01/17 ]

With emo, Chad didn't feel like working. With emo now dispelled, Chad...still didn't feel like working. He felt like jamming. Which might explain music blaring, with almost every song being one that he had to play along with on his bass. Had to. He'll get to that stocking after this song, really. Okay, maybe after the next. Eventually. He couldn't play through the whole shift, after all.

Or could he?

He couldn't help it that he brought his entire Cake collection, which meant some of his all time favourite bass lines.

Pippi had decided to go down to her boat this afternoon.

And, this being Wednesday, poked her head into Empire on her way to the docks.

Because it was totally on her way, and even if it wasn't, it was.

"Hi."

"Hey, Pippi," Chad didn't even pause from the mad bassline from The Distance, but he did look up and, hey, if you looked close enough, that was a grin.

Ooh, and he has his base with him.

"What's up?"

"Music," Chad said, not missing a beat.

Her lunch with Nadia had been sobering but the prospect of jamming perked her right up.

She took her drumsticks out of her back pocket.

"Ya don't say?"

"I do say," Chad nodded. "Wanna join in?"

"Oh, let me think about that for a moment yes."

Chad grinned a little at that, continued playing, and waited for Pippi to do so. She had caught him in the middle of a 'moment' and he couldn't be stopped.

Pippi took a few measures to pick up the beat and started tapping on the counter with the music.
