The Perk, Wednesday Evening

Anders had taken over the largest table he could find and pulled up a good number of chairs. Conner and Parker were supposed to be here, at least, and hopefully the people they'd contacted would make it as well.

There was planning to do, and for that? Caffeine was definitely needed. So any drinks for this group would be on Anders tonight.

Tori made sure she got to the Perk a little early, after receiving the message from Anders, hoping he'd gotten her message about Angela.

"Tori, hey," Anders said, waving her over. "Really glad to hear Angela's okay. That's one less thing to worry about. Want anything? It's on me tonight."

Parker showed up and got two espressos before she sat down. "I called Xander, and Chris Halliwell. If they can bring anyone else in, that'll be great too, but I think we need them." She nodded to Tori. "Hi. We met for five seconds at my birthday party."

"Wyatt would be a bonus, if we can get him in on it," Anders said thoughtfully. "And awesome, the more the better."

"Hey." Tori grinned, recognizing Parker. "Speaking of your birthday, I have a card for you. I just never got around to delivering it." She grinned sheepishly.

Shawn headed down to the Perk as requested after class, and found Anders and his table.

"Hey, got your message," he said. "Sounded a little ominous."

"Yeah," Anders said. "It's especially ominous-sounding considering the creepy little girl took their powers. And Gruumm is trying to take over the Earth or something, in their time."

Why, what a coincidence, Wyatt just happened to wander into the Perk for some evening caffeine.

Chris had gotten a call from Parker and took a seat next to his brother, where he proceeded to listen to everything going on and taking lots and lots of notes.

Jo headed down to the Perk like she said she would and took a seat. "Hey."

"You made it," Anders said. "And . . . I don't even think I know your name."

"Hey," Parker said, curiously. "I'm Parker. I've seen you in Hunting class, right? Jo something?" Then she blinked. Jo-who-Chris-asked-out? Maybe.

Much more serious than usual, Peter showed up at the Perk after a handwavy conversation. "Evening, all," he said quietly.

"Pevensie! Did Conner tell you to show up?" asked Anders. He and Parker had been focusing on people with special powers, but he had no idea why he hadn't thought of Peter. Which was kind of dumb of him, honestly. "What do you know about what's going on?"

Conner was here. Being mostly quiet, granted, but he was here.

Door had been waiting for Anders' call which totally explains why it took her so long to show up; given the circumstances, she'd made her way into town as carefully as possible, uncertain if what had happened to Bridge and Z could be aimed at any of them next.

"Door? Hey. Grab a coffee and settle in." Parker waved her over. "You're in on this too?"

Rory, looking very much like she had spent the afternoon with her nose in a book, distractedly came into the Perk after getting a totally handwaved phone call directing her there. She ordered herself a large black coffee, and studied the assembled group.

Her mind raced with questions and the subsequent answers she'd found, and the underlying current of worry for Bridge and Z.

Parker waved to her. "Hey, Rory. How are you doing?" She gestured around her. "Everyone's here to help."

Xander had been dividing his time between unpacking and slowly going through his voicemails while pretending he wasn't waiting for a call back on the one he left, when the new one from Parker came through.

He'd have been here sooner if he'd realized that it wasn't just another late arrival. Instead, well... that'd be him.

"Hey." Parker stood up when she saw Xander come in, looking worried. "We'll find them, Xander."

Tannim came by the Perk after a handwavey phone call from Wyatt. He looked around at all the people, not sure who was heading up this thing.

Parker spotted him, and waved him over to herself and Anders. "Hey, Tannim? Did you hear about this?"

Conner had mostly been listening to what everyone was saying, and now he jumped up on his chair and cleared his throat.

"Okay," he said loudly, in his best team-captain-on-the-soccer-pitch voice. "So thanks to Rory, we've got some intel on this Gruumm dude. We've got magical and nonmagical tracking options; we've got Shawn here to handle our healing needs, and let me tell you he really saved my ass last time with that. We've got our firepower, and we've got magic help, and me and Tori both have experience dealing with the kind of grunt troops we'll probably end up facing. We'll be fine, I swear. And we're gonna get our friends back. As for the rest of the details . . . well, Anders is in charge of this one," he concluded, and hopped back off the chair.
