The Perk, Wednesday Evening

Anders had taken over the largest table he could find and pulled up a good number of chairs. Conner and Parker were supposed to be here, at least, and hopefully the people they'd contacted would make it as well.

There was planning to do, and for that? Caffeine was definitely needed. So any drinks for this group would be on Anders tonight.

"Sure, black coffee," Jo said. "Not much with kidnappers per se, but I grew up in a roadhouse, so I'm used to dealing with overmuscled blockheads."

"Well then, you'll be perfect," Anders declared. Not that he knew what a roadhouse was, but hey. Overmuscled blockheads was a concept he understood. Before he headed off to get her that coffee, he added, "All the help we can get -- and by the way, it's nice to meet you."
