Atlas Health and Fitness Center, Sunday Afternoon

Following his chat in the park with Phoebe, Bond decided a swim would give him a good chance to clear his head and think a bit. The weather was a little too cold for ocean bathing, even by his standards, so he walked through town until he found what he was looking for -- a full-service gym with a pool.

[ooc: Atlas is an NPC establishment, and totally moddable. I'll set up a thread for the pool, feel free to jump in or to start your own thread for any other part of the gym.]

After renting a locker and making a stop at the sports shop to purchase a pair of swim trunks, Bond headed straight for the pool, and commenced to doing laps while he processed the information he'd gathered so far.

After last night and her savvy spy techniques, Annette needed the water on her body. She was a bit tense. Maybe a bit stressed. Perhaps a little paranoid about who was who and the lion and all that...

She spotted Mr. Aziraphale doing some laps and she settled herself in the water, content to just watch him for now.

Aly hadn't spent much of the weekend outside her apartment so far so when she got to feeling bored and lazy, she decided to head over to the pool ~~never mind she'd never been there before in her life omg~~.

And was very appreciative of the male fom in the pool. She sat on the ledge of the pool before jumping in, dabbling her feet in the water and watching him.

Once he'd gotten a good workout, Bond surfaced and pulled himself up onto the edge of the pool. Wiping the water off his face with his hand, he took a look around the area and spotted the young woman who was watching him.

With a little grin, he stood and walked over to where she was lounging in the water. "Mind if I join you?"

"Not at all," Annette smiled at him, appreciating his fine physique.

Since she knew he was an angel, she teased him a bit. "He knew what He was doing when he made you, didn't He?"

Bond was always appreciative to be surrounded by attractive young women in bathing suits himself. Working it so that he completed the laps he was doing near where Aly sat, he tossed his head back to shake the water from it and grinned up at her.

"I'm afraid you're not going to get much of a tan sunbathing in here. The water's good and warm, though."

Well, this was a bold one! Bond's grin grew wider, and he slipped down into the water next to Annette.

"You know, I think that's the nicest thing a young woman's ever told me." He gave her a once-over. "He wasn't doing badly at all in your case either."

She smiled at him, warmly. "That is hard to believe and I think you are teasing me telling me that."

His once-over was not hard to miss and it caught her off guard for a second. Maybe two. An angel checking her out? How cool was that?

Annette blushed and wiggled her toes. "Thank you."

Aly raised an eyebrow and grinned back at him. "I'll bet it is. New to town?" she asked.

"I never tease unless I'm asked to," Bond replied, with a wink.

He grinned at the blush. "So, who do I have the pleasure of trading compliments with?"

"New, and only visiting." Bond leaned an arm on the edge of the pool. "Can I assume from your question that you're a resident?"

Annette laughed. "Well, you have my permission to tease me at your whim." Boy, he had the bluest eyes she had ever seen in her life!

The angel was hot. More than hot. The hottest of the hot.

Was that a wicked thought?

She should have brought her camera. Dang it.

She arched a brow, feigning hurt. "You don't remember me?" She grinned and brushed her hand over his shoulder, though she didn't let it linger. "I forgive you though, you meet a number of students every year. I'm Annette."

"Teacher at the school," Aly replied. She pouted a bit. "Sad to hear you're only visiting. Anyway we could convince you to stay?"

"Annette," he replied, catching her hand to kiss the tips of her fingers very briefly before letting go, "I am certain I would remember meeting you, no matter how many students I encountered."

Students. Dammit, Bond thought. M will hand me my balls on a plate if it turns out this is one of hers, and she hears I was putting the make on the girl.

"You can call me James."

Oh, another true gentleman! How nice! It didn't matter that he couldn't remember her; he was more than making it up for it now.

"James," she repeated. Must be his first name. James Aziraphale. It had a nice ring to it.

"You have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen, James."

"Act as suspicious as you possibly can, and maybe I can convince my employer to keep me around a while longer." Bond grinned at the little pout. "This is supposed to be a business trip, but I can't see why a man can't mix business and pleasure. Is the town that interesting, that I should want to stay longer?"

"Oh, I can act very suspicious. It's a talent," Aly said with a smirk. "Shall it be clandestine or openly?"

Bond smiled at the compliment. He could almost believe she actually meant what she was saying, and in a way that was rather refreshing. "Only because you're seeing yourself in them."

He wondered if he should just shove off, before he got himself into trouble, or if he could get a little information while he engaged in a bit of harmless flirting. After all, M had only warned him to keep his hands off, not to avoid her students altogether.

"Have you lived in town long?"

"Oh, clandestine, of course. After all, you've got to make it a challenge. I figure you out too quickly, and there won't be any more reason for me to stay."

She chuckled and shook her head and came down into the water near him. "No, that is not it, but I'll thank you for the compliment." She was not ashamed in her blatant staring. Who wouldn't?

He had nice shoulders, and arms, and his chest...Annette looked over him as much as she could without seeming to be too obvious.

Okay. Her perusal was obvious.

"I don't live in town, James. Do you?"

"You think you could figure me out?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Bond didn't mind the perusal. He wasn't being terribly subtle about checking Annette out himself.

"I'm sorry, I'd assumed from the way you mentioned the students that you were a local. Which is too bad, I was hoping you could tell me a little about the place. Just visiting, then?"

Now this was more like it. Bond always liked a good challenge.

"I'm pretty sure I could. Of course, it would require a great deal of research."

"Many have tried, Mr. - I'm sorry, what was your name again?" Aly asked innocently.

"Swimming, swimming, in the swimming pool . . ." Ms Frizzle hummed as she cheerfully backstroked along.
