Kaylee was in a good mood when she opened the store. She settled behind the counter with her Fairy Tales reading assignments and a book about engineering. If any customers stopped by, she would gladly put those aside.

Today she had pop music playing.

The Doctor wandered into the store and started dancing in the aisles to the music.

Kaylee smiled at The Doctor and waved.

The Doctor waved back and grooved his way to the counter. "Hello there, Miss Frye."

"Hello Doctor," Kaylee replied. "How are ya?"

"Doing rather well," the Doctor said. "Feel like myself again."

"Thought you were someone else this weekend, too?" Kaylee asked curiously.

The Doctor nodded. "Transformed, actually," he said. "I like having hair, I do."

"Happened to me too," Kaylee said. "Good to be back to normal."

"Hope you didn't have too much of an unpleasant time," the Doctor said.

"Didn't do anythin' real embarrassing," Kaylee said.

"Well, that's good," the Doctor said. "Sweet girl like you shouldn't have to suffer through any sort of embarrassment."

"I like bein' me," Kaylee added.

"As you should," the Doctor said. He reached into a pocket and pulled out a wrinkled paper bag. "Jellybaby?" he held out the bag.

"Ooh, shiny!" Kaylee said, reaching into the bag. "Thank you."

"Very welcome," the Doctor said. "I think I'll be popping out now." He got a smirk. "Unless you'd care to dance?"

"Haven't been dancin' since Homecoming," Kaylee said with a grin.

"That seems a shame, really," the Doctor said.

Kaylee nodded. "It really is, I think."

The Doctor stepped back from the counter. "Well then, shall we remedy this?"

Kaylee stepped out from behind the counter. "Sounds like a good plan."

"Now what sort of dance shall it be?" the Doctor asked. "You're the one with the power of music, here. And the music dictates the dance."

"I ain't real sure how to dance to this kind of music," Kaylee said. "What sort of music do you like, Doctor?"

"I like all music, me," the Doctor said. "Jazz, rock, Betelgeusian Gopher Polka, everything."

"I try to listen to all kinds since I ain't from around here," Kaylee said. "Never heard polka, though."

"Well, Betelgeusian Gopher Polka isn't like Earth polka," the Doctor explained. "More fur involved, for one thing."

"So were there dancin' gophers?" Kaylee asked curiously.

"Yes," the Doctor said. "That's the whole point."
