Turtle & Canary; Thursday [ 02/01 ]

Turtle had been really slacking off on trying to get the copy of the will translated, so she was mostly working on that today, with hopes that the new register would arrive today. She really hoped that there wasn't something wrong with shipping. Either way, she still got to say random things that she'd picked up in Polish from her translating efforts that she's throw at Apu, and he'd throw something back that she couldn't understand either, and then Liz would bark and the SquishyBot would gurgle and Turtle found this all to be quite amusing.

Today's SquishyBot flavors: Red, White, Blue.

Turtle really didn't like the way Apu laughed after he said some of those things. She felt oddly thankful that she didn't have a goat.

She's getting slightly frustrated; Polish is a silly language, and she didn't think Sydelle Pulaski did a very good job transcribing the will, anyway. There had to be some missing words in here.

Turtle looked up from her work with a smile, a little relieved for some distraction. Polish was hurting her brain. "Hey, Ami. What's up?"

"Just here to do some shopping. I need ingredients for a cake. but i do not know what kind. Any suggestions?"

Turtle's head tilted thoughtfully. "Well," she said after a moment, "is the cake for anything special, or is it just a cake for the purpose of having cake?"

There was an arch of Turtle's eyebrow to accompany a little smirk when she noticed the blush. "You're making it for a boy."

Turtle's smirk grew a little wicked at first, but then she just gave Ami a challenging look. "Why?"

She and Ami just might have to have a talk about how boys? Were stupid, and did things like stealing panties, and, therefor, we should not make them cakes.

Ami blinked. "It came up in conversation last week. In a fortune cookie. Andi said i would. And he said he would bake me one in return at some point."

Jude's back in, but slightly distracted from his usual Dance of the SquishyBot by Turtle's occasional shouting.

"Hey, bra, your pronunciation's like wicked bad," he said, staring into the depth of SquishyBot's eyes.

"Your Polish. You are tryin' t' speak Polish, right?" Leeeeeeeeean right.

"Uhh, no, not to speak it," Turtle shook her head. "That was all just random because I'm bored. I'm just trying to translate something here." She lifted up the copy of Old Man Westing's will, neatly typed in Polish, before flopping it back down on the counter with a sigh. "It sucks."

You'd think Jude had just told her WPP jumped five more points with that look on her face. "Fluent? So you could, like, look at this thing and know it says like" *snap* "that?"

Aaaaaaaaaagh. Nightmares. Yeah, so it was ten years ago (holy crap) but STILL.
