Luna had received her birthday gifts on her way to the shop this morning.

As such, inside, Wonka's was decorated with a winter wonderland theme. Sparkling snowflakes hung from the ceiling. There were mugs of pipping hot cocoa for the asking, complete with peppermint stick stirs.

And yes, there was a wide selection of Valentine Sweets available for anyone who needed to pick up something for that special someone (or someones).

"What shall you be called?" Luna asked the newly arrived Smew.

[OOC: Wonka's is open for all your Valentine Candy needs! Stop in, marvel at the lack of V-day decorations, help name the Smew, or just wonder about the girl in the funny hat who keeps tossing her head from side to side in an attempt to move the tassel on the top of her hat back and forth! Note: Charms placed on the sweets will only last for 24-48 hours. Luna will be in the shop 10am-4:30pm Game time.]

Annette wanted candy. She wanted lots of it. And sometime after lunch she made her way to the candy shop.

Entering, she was immediately assaulted with the scent of chocolate and peppermint, and lovely yummy scents of candy. Smiling, she started to look around.

"Petronella? Barnabas? How about Octavia?" Luna asked the Smew before turning to greet their guest.

"Hello again." Luna smiled.

"Luna, is it?" Annette asked with a grin. "And how are you doing? I haven't seen you in a while."

"Yes." Luna nodded. "I am well, thank you, Annette. How have you been?"

"I've been pretty good, thanks. Classes and studying keep me pretty busy, but really I can't complain." She smiled.

"I have come for candy, Luna. What is best?"

"I am glad things are going well for you." Luna said as she ducked under the counter to pull out a tray of sweets. "Chocolates like these seem to be the most popular."

Annette looked over the chocolates and decided immediately, "I'll take some. And those," she added, pointing to the candy heart bracelet and pendant. "And those as well." She said indicating the candy roses.

Grinning at Luna, she shrugged a shoulder. "I feel like a candy-aholic this week."

"That is certainly not a crime in this shop." Luna laughed as she bagged up Annette's purchases.

The smew wondered a little closer to see what the girls were doing.

Catching movement from the corner of her eye, Annette turned and looked at the little..."What is that, Luna? It's looks like a duck, but not."

"It's a Smew from Mongolia." Luna answered as she handed Annette her bag and picked up the smew. "My father sent him to me for my birthday this morning. He needs a name."

"A Smew." She repeated, taking the bag and handing over her money. "It's cute. And happy birthday!" Annette said with a smile, glancing at her. Then she looked back at the Smew. "Will be hard to top his given name."

"Thank you." Luna grinned. "I've tried fifty-seven names so far. None of them have stuck but I am confident one will refrain from rolling off his back."

Annette laughed, "Good luck cause he just looks so much like a Smew." Turning towards her, she asked, "What are your top picks?"

"He turned his nose up at Iris and was unimpressed with Castor, so perhaps Cesar?" If it were possible for a smew to look displeased, this one did.

"Oh, he doesn't seem to like Cesar. Gladiator? That might be a bit long. Hmm, Moby? Moe? Uhh...Aflac Apollo?" She grinned a bit sheepishly. "I might not be the best at helping here."

At the last there was a quack!

Sadly it was only a plea for one more of the orange slices Luna had been feeding him.

"That is alright. I appreciate the help." Luna smiled. "I am sure he will take to something soon enough though."

[ooc: I'm going to be going afk for the night soon.]

"You're welcome. And thanks for the help." She smiled and headed for the door. "If I don't see you at all tomorrow, have a good Valentines Day, Luna!" With a little wave, she was out the door and hurrying back to the dorms cause it was totally freezing outside.

River wasn't really familiar with the Valentine's day thing, but appearantly it included chocolates, and that could never be wrong. Once in the shop she got a bit distracted by the choice available, and the presence of the animal.

"Good afternoon," Luna greeted. "May I be of assistance?"

"I need chocolate," River said, not totally distracted by the animal.

The smew sat quietly on the counter, being all non-threateningly smew-like.

"Any particular form of chocolate?" Luna asked. "We have quite a lot of it, you see."

"Oh, it's for my boyfriend," River said, looking a little confused. "You have anything pen-shaped?"

Unfortunately River didn't speak smew. "It needs a name?" she asked.

"I have nothing particularly pen-shaped." Luna gave an orange slice to the smew and smiled. "Yes, I believe so as one has not yet been offered in return to inquiries."

River looked even more confused. "Just a box of heartshaped things then," she said. "And I'm afraid I don't speak Smew so I can't help me with the name. But he looks a little like a Maurice."

"Thank you, I shall try that out. Are you quite alright there?" Luna asked in response to the other girl's confusion. "Anything in particular that you would like put into the box?"

River looked up. "I'm ok. And just a mix of things in the box will be fine." She gently patted the Smew.

Luna put some of each candy into the box and topped it off with two of the oranges and a fantastic red bow. "Is there anything else that you would like?"

The smew wiggled in a universal expression of smew happiness.
