Wonka's Sweets Shoppe - Sunday Brunch

Luna and her unnamed smew made their way happily into town to set up for this weekend's Sunday Brunch. Once in the shop, she checked on the candy-shark bowl, the bubble gum pyramid and the miniature free range caramel rodeo. Finding everything to her liking, she set to work on the rest of the shop, getting it ready for what may come. The smew rested quietly by the register, as smews do.

As usual, the store's set up had been changed to include plenty of tables and chairs, and room to mingle. For the extremely brave, there were a few tables set up just outside the shop as well, nestled cozily around self contained, outdoor fire pits. The comfort provided was not diminished by their being filled with blue, purple, or sometimes even pink flames.

Once everything was in place, Luna tied on an apron over her robes and opened the shop. If the shop seemed roomier inside, well, perhaps maybe it was. In addition to the usual fair, there were also steaming mugs of hot cocoa with marshmallows and peppermint stir sticks, a variety of breakfast pie yay! quiche, and even some after brunch cookies to be had for the asking.

Laid out on a large serving table were all the elements of a traditional English breakfast along with some items that weren't so traditional.

Foods
Toast (with butter, jam, marmalade, marmite, or plain, including 'toast soldiers')
Several different fresh fruits (melons, citrus, grapes and raisins) Cereal or porridge
Sausages, bacon, ham, kippers, and white pudding (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_pudding)
Eggs (scrambled, fried, boiled, or poached)
Mushrooms, fried tomatoes, baked beans, hash browns, mashed potatoes, salad, kedgeree (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kedgeree), and bubble and squeak (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubble_and_squeak)
Pastries (various), biscuits (American and English), scones, and muffins
Several dessert items from the shop, including a to die for chocolate pudding.

Tea, coffee, milk, chocolate milk, several types of juice, water and various fizzy drinks

Rosette was bouncing along side Chrono as he put together a plate for himself and a plate for both of them, since she really couldn't reach. "An' I want that, an' that, an' some of that, an' that too! Oooh, that looks good! Ack! No, Chrono, not that! Now I need whole new plate, 'cause they're touching. They can't touch, Chrono...."

"Fine, this will just be my plate, then okay?"

"You'll have to eat all of it!"

Sigh. "Okay, I will."

Wade hadn't seen Rosette all weekend, this might explain why he launched himself at her. "ROSETTE!"

Zoe didn't trust John to make waffles that weren't icky, so she'd set out to find her own food in town. It was kind of a given that she headed for the candy shop first.

The toast and cereal looked good, but she was currently trying to figure out how much chocolate pudding she could eat without getting sick.

There was a very tiny, very sad person looking up at the food. Which meant the weetiny person did not have food. This would not do. All weetiny people should have food, especially the chocolate kind. Stark would make a terrible babysitter, really.

Considering the fact that River found the abundance of little children frightening it had probably been a bad idea to go to Wonka's for brunch. She hadn't realized this until she got there though, and then she'd decided she could just as well get something to eat.

She got her plate full of food and found a corner table, hoping none of the children would notice her.

And, of course, in a few momenters, there was also a pair of wide blue eyes peeking out at her from the other side of the table.

"Hi, River. Are you going to sing today? I miss you coming an' singing at the church."

Stark had wandered into town in search of brunch and possibly weetinies. And look, both could be found here at Wonka's, along with chocolate.

He grabbed a plate full of many things, then found a seat.

Emma knew there was a choklit shop around here somewhere, so she had set out to find it, and she had! She walked inside and her eyes widened at the display of food. "Choklit puddin'!"

Miho couldn't quite see over the table to see whether there was pie or not. So she looked hopefully at any tall people who passed her by.

Rose was running around Fandom when the smell of food stopped her in her tracks and redirected her to Wonka's she leapt in and giggled: "Food!"

Leo was very hungry, and piled as much food on his plate as he could carry.

But he was stymied by the selection of drinks. Did he want chocolate milk? Juice? Something fizzy?

He looked from one to another unable to choose.
