The streets of Fandom, Saturday

Remember the Fisher Price cars that ran on foot-power and were big and red and yellow?

Well, every Science! teacher needs her bus.

Valerie's bus just happens to be of the foot-powered and plastic variety. WAHOO!

It was Sunday. Lumiere happened to like Sundays because they didn't involve being stuck inside all day watching people eat icky green stuff and things that didn't have chocolate in them.
So Lumiere was outside today, skipping happily down the sidewalk!
He made a point to wait for the foot-powered plastic traffic to pass by, waving a chipper hello to the driver.
"Hii, Vawlewie!"

"'Miere!" she crowed happily, putting it into park by stopping. "Wanna have a ride?"

Lumiere squinted at the school bus for a moment, then finally nodded and grinned. "Okay! But how does it move wifout a pony to pull it? It is magic?"

"Nuh uh!" Some wriggling and Valerie had managed to extract a leg to wave in the air. "I do it!"

Lumiere was duly impressed. "That's really neat!" He toddled over to the bus and inspected it for a moment. "Where do I sit?"

She pointed behind her at the open rows of seats with walking space below. "Dere!"

It took a little bit of fumbling, but Lumiere managed to scramble into the seat without the benefit of hands to help him hold on. "Yay! I'm on 'za ... thingie!" He clapped a little, his weetiny tealights making a happy click.

"Issa bus!" she said cheerfully, then pointed ahead of them dramatically. "Time to take chances! Make mistakes! Get messy!"

Valerie liked 'Miere. He used her catchphrase. "Wahoo!" she agreed and went full-speed ahead, curls bouncing and giggling like a lunatic.
