Caritas, Thursday Night -- 2/22/07

Phoebe managed to show up for her shift at Caritas on time and even sober.

She helped the Zombie Band put themselves back together and even managed to help the drummer retrieve his drumsticks. She really didn't want to know how they had ended up in the stage lights. She really didn't.

After warning them what would happen if they played sappy love songs or show tunes tonight, Phoebe opened the doors and went back behind the bar.

Caritas was open.

Egged on by Conner, and just a little tipsy, Wyatt got up to sing. "This song," he said, "is dedicated to Mel."

Conner finished talking to Tori before he headed over to the stage, grabbed the mic, and whooped loudly.

"Okay! This is to cheer up all you mopey types here in the bar tonight, 'cause seriously, you guys, spring break is coming up and all these long faces? Nuh-uh. Not cool."

He had a word with the zombie band, and they struck up a somewhat generic boy-band type backing track as Conner, who had NO SHAME WHATSOEVER, started to do the same dorky dance moves he'd shown Kaylee the other day.

"This song is dedicated to Anders over there," he said, pointing at a murderous-looking Anders at the bar. "But not from me! Just like, in general!"

It was entirely possible that Nadia had fallen asleep and sleepwalked to Caritas. It was also possible that she just needed a break in planning her vision quest tomorrow.

Either way, there she was, on stage at Caritas, singing:

Chris had mentioned that he was going to Caritas, so Summer decided to stop by. Besides, she hadn't been there in awhile and she was bored.

Surprisingly enough, Bridge still worries. The fact that two of the people he's currently worrying *about* are in the same place doesn't really deter that. So he's here too.

Xander actually wandered down to Caritas just to wander down to Caritas. Because drinks made by somebody else are better than drinks made by the machine you don't entirely know how to programme yet, even as an adult.

Especially Rolling Rock, so he ordered one of those from Tino, and settled onto a barstool.

After baking with the girls, Tori had decided to get out of the dorms and head over to Caritas for a bit because her mun should really be studying.

She walked in and took a seat at the bar, wondering what tomorrow's class would bring.

Shawn stopped in at Caritas, and wandered over to lean against the bar and look around while he waited for a drink. There really was a surprising amount of people out tonight, considering it was a weeknight.

Annette took her tall glass of iced tea that Tino made for her, and sat down to relax a little. After taking a small sip however, she wondered what the heck kind of tea it was. But she was not about to get back up and ask Tino about it, so she just decided to drink it. Waste not want not. So her dad always used to say.
