Jane is trying to figure out the new cash register thing.

She has no idea about anything that will happen any where from 3 months to 40 years into her future or 200 year into the past... So, she's feeling pretty good right now.

River showed up. She didn't really need to buy anything, but she wanted to see how Jane was doing. She placed a tube of toothpaste on the counter. Always good to have a spare one.

Which is true. But also she spent a lot of time drinking after that. Not because of River. Jane is actually quite proud of River.
