Movie Sign Theater 300, Tuesday evening

Aeryn might have spent more time at the junkyard if John hadn't said it was a good idea to get out. She's still not sure about the movies when they could have watched something at home, but she can go out just this once.

The marquee reads:
NOW PLAYING
STICKBUG

It's probably a good thing Aeryn's not paying attention to what it says.

John's got a hold of her hand and is waggling money at the ticket agent. "Two for the main feature," he says, smiling charmingly at her when she hands him two tickets.

As they start farther into the theater, Aeryn asks, "What are we going to see, anyway?"

"A movie," he teases, tugging her towards the concession stand.

"I understood that much," she says, managing not to eyeroll too much. "What kind of movie?"

"Hopefully a good one," he says, still teasing. "Want popcorn? Candy? Drink?"

"Something to drink, definitely," she says, not even looking at the menu board. "Are you getting anything?"

"Popcorn," he says and orders a large popcorn and a large drink. He hands her the drink and takes the popcorn. "We're in theatre five."

She takes a sip of the drink, letting him lead her to the theater and kind of randomly picking a seat. If he wants to sit somewhere else, he's going to have to stop her.

He's perfectly fine with the seating and plops down beside her, putting the popcorn in his lap.

Aeryn totally steals some, regardless of whether he's looking.

"You just ate some of my popcorn," he says, mock frowning.

"You drank half of my drink last weekend," she points out.

He frowns. "I did?"

"Mm hm," she says, and takes about another two kernels, just to tease.

"So this is payback?"

"If you like," Aeryn tells him simply.

He throws some popcorn at her.

She picks a piece out of her hair and says, "I believe you have a problem with acting out when things don't go your way."

Aeryn, stop watching daytime television.

John kind of stares at her. "What?"

"I heard it on television," she explains.

"What were you watching?"

[can_be_more]

"I have no idea. It was the only thing that didn't have a commercial and wasn't on that Lifetime channel."

He laughs again and says, "I'm not acting out."

She holds up the popcorn piece and looks at him like Oh yeah?

Suddenly the theater is filled with Jamies.

What do you expect. He's a stickbug.

And best of all? He only paid one ticket.
