[The Park, Thursday evening] John and Aeryn's engagement party!

Rory had been in the park for a good chunk of the afternoon, setting things up through the power of her wavy, wavy hands. There were white cloth-covered tables with red bouquets as centerpieces, and chairs for sitting, food for eating (including a cake that had been sent earlier that afternoon, courtesy of a certain undead-type in Los Angeles), and tiny white lights strung up through the trees, as well as some tasteful and simple white and red chintz wrapped around the trunks.

If it looked like another engagement party Rory had once attended (but with a different color scheme), well, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Jack wandered up, a bit late and sadly giftless, but he was grinning as he looked around the park. "So this is an engagement party?" It was his first.

Hamlet arrived a bit late to the party. He wasn't quite sure how to react at a celebration of this type; the only other engagement party he'd been to had been that of his Mother and uncle, and needless to say, he hadn't been very happy there.

After flirting with talking to John and Aeryn, Jack helped himself to a piece of cake and grabbed a seat at one of the tables, looking around the party while he ate.
