Photo Hut, Wednesday, 5/16

Johnny had never held a real job. A real job being that like the one he was hired for here.

After an hour of standing around and looking at various photo equipment and taking a few pictures of himself, he was bored.

Good thing he brought his Ben toy with him. Correction, The Thing toy.

So Johnny began to play; dancing The Thing across the countertop was highly entertaining. Shut up, yes it was!

He might have been thinking about Charlie too and their date today. Okay, he was totally thinking about her.

Ah, and he had a pizza date lunch thing with Tori tomorrow.

Life was sweet.

Photo Hut is open.

Savannah continued wandering the town and decided to stop into the camera store to see if there was any new accessories that she could get for her digital camera.

As soon as he heard the door open, The Thing dropped to the counter and Johnny made himself busy with...uh...a package of film.

"Hi Johnny. I didn't know you worked here."

He looked up, "Oh, hey Savannah, how's it going? And yeah, this is my first day."

"Neat," she said, looking around. Then she gave him a smile. "How are things?"

He looked around too. So much photo stuff. He wondered if he was supposed to try and make a sell when people came in?

Johnny returned her smile, "Can't complain. Oh, I met your cousin, Eve. I thought she was you at first."

Savannah snickered. "Yeah, we got that in class, too. I didn't know she was coming here, so meeting her was a shock."

"...but is it a good shock? You two get along pretty good." Two hot cousins - Johnny was liking that, alot.

"Hey, which one is older?"

"It was a very good shock," Savannah nodded. "She's a bit over-protective, though." She laughed. "Eve is older than me."

Johnny liked older chicks. He liked younger chicks too. Not too young, just, you know.

He wore a sort of sneaky smile, "I like that over-protective thing. She told me I was hot," he snickered. "I think I like your cousin Eve, Savannah. But," he added, leaning on the counter, "not as much as I like you." A little cheesy? God, he hoped not.

Savannah grinned at him and leaned on the counter, too. "Well, that is very good to know, Johnny."

She wondered if he realized that she so could read the sneakiness of his smile?

"You'll find, Savannah," he said in a low, husky tone. "That I am useful to have around. I know all sorts of good things."

"And how do you plan to teach me about those useful things?"

He shrugged a shoulder, grinning, "Well you'll have to spend more time with me to find out, won't you?"

She gave him an impish look. "So you're saying you'd be interested in another date?"

He answered her by asking, "Would you, Savannah?"

"Now see, that would all depend, Johnny..."

"On what, Savannah?" he asked.

"On whether you're going to take me someplace different than you have been taking all of your other dates."

Johnny managed to look a little sheepish right before he said, "Sure, no problem."

"Yeah, it'd be nice to go somewhere with just you and not feeling the next night that you were scoping out the place with me for your next date."

He managed not to facepalm. But just barely. And he was sooo looking down at the counter, at that package of film.

"Right. Which is not what I do, really." He probably wasn't winning any points here was he? "I know, why don't you pick the place and totally surprise me!" He glanced at her, grinning like a dork.

"How about, you come and see cheerleading tryouts on Saturday and then Saturday night we have a picnic dinner on the beach..." She cocked her head at him. "After all, if you don't want to see this new bikin I bought, I'm sure someone else would join me for a nighttime... swim..."

He blinked and felt his blood rush to certain unmentionable places. "That's sounds awesome, Savannah. I'm in. I mean yeah, I'm free..." Buhhhh...

Leo did a double take at Savannah, as if he thought he recognized her from somewhere.

Savannah waved and continued browsing.

Leo came down to see how things were going, and saw the action figure. "Woah, what's that Man?"

Oh, hell.

Johnny couldn't very well hide it behind his back now, could he?

"Oh, this?" he dropped The Thing to the counter. "Just some stupid toy I found. How's it going, Leo?"

"It's going great Man, how's it going down here?" Leo thought the toy looked pretty cool.

"Everything's been real fine, Leo. Can't complain at all." He said. "Nice shop you got here."

"Thanks Man." Leo beamed. "It's been good to me." He found himself distracted by the toy.

Johnny saw Leo looking at the toy. "I'll be good to it, too, Leo. You can count on me."

eep, I didn't think about it talking! but yeah, sounds good! play away!

"Far out Man." Leo said, picking up the action figure and turning it over in his hands. "He looks grumpy."

"He's a total pain in the ass," Johnny said smartly.

"What's his name?" Leo asked, finding the button.

"IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!

"Woah!"

"Yeah, stupid thing makes noise. And I call it The Thing. It's appropriate, don't you think?"

Leo nodded. "The Rock might work too." he observed.

Johnny was shaking his head. "No. It's The Thing. Would be unnatural for me to call it anything else. Especially something like, Ben."

Leo looked at the toy. "Why would you call it Ben? Ted maybe, but he doesn't look like a Ben."

"Trust me, it's a Ben." And Johnny so did not want to talk about Ben.

Leo shrugged. It was Johnny's toy, he could call it what he wanted. "So how're you liking Fandom Man?"

"I'm adjusting, Leo, thanks." Which made him wonder. "You don't uh, have any glitter in here do you?"

"...I don't think so Man. Should I?"

"No," he said quickly. "We don't need glitter in here. It could get in your photo equipment and mess things up."
