The Beach: Saturday afternoon

Karal had handwavily heard that the creature in the woods had been banished. It was a great relief, but he was still disturbed.

Rather than sit in his alcove and brood over it, he'd saddled Trenor and brought him down to the beach for a run. His mane was whipping along Karal's cheek as he leaned forward and urged him faster, until they were almost flying across the sand. As they approached a driftwood log, he collected him, rose in his stirrups, and they soared over it, landing neatly on the other side.

"Good, Trenor. Good boy," he said as he reined him in, slowing to a trot, then a walk, and he smiled up into the sky as he patted Trenor's neck. Everything was simpler on the back of a horse.

[ooc: open of course, as t'is a beach!]

Tori had decided to take a walk on the beach, instead of sitting around the campground all day.

She was also happy to hear that Jason had been taken care of. It was a relief to know no one else was going to get attacked by that psycho.

The sounds of the waves calmed Tori's thoughts as she watched them crash against the sand. She really did love the beach.

[Dinnertime! SP is love!]

Chad was discovering that a walk from the cabins to the beach was a really nice, simple way to sort of ease back into mobility. Hopefully, soon, he'd be able to do more than just walking in a bit, but for now...

...Oh. A horse...Chad's head tilted slightly as he came across that.

Chad lifted his left arm, the good side, in a wave-less wave back. "Hey," he responded, lifted his chin a little. "Nice horse."

"M'Chad," he was able to fit in a quick introduction before acknowledging Karal's question. "Uh, yeah, m'fine. Just sort of walking off a wound." His eyes, hard as he tried, just couldn't help keep going to the horse. Trenor, he said its name was. He glanced at its nice coat a moment before looking over to the Karal and asking, hand slightly moving forward a bit, "You mind?"

Chad's large hand reached over and gently, lightly brushed over the horse's velvety neck, and he smiled a little. "Had him long?" he asked Karal.

"Stabbed," Chad said, simply, and then, since it would probably be healing up soon and he wouldn't have as much to show off them, he asked, "Wanna see it?"

What? It was cool looking, and closing up fast so he had to make the most out of it while he could.

"There's a creature out there now, too?" Chad, who hadn't been kept very informed in general about his attacker, only had the impression of a man, because a man-like figure was all he could recall from that night. He frowned deeply, half forgetting about his offer to display his battle scar. The other half went into realizing that, with an answer like that, he'd rather just stay petting the nice horsie.

And Tori had mentioned that he...it...whatever seemed to keep coming back, but that wasn't something so strange to Chad's experience. "Or something supernatural," he said. "Not quite human. But just because it isn't human doesn't mean it's automatically a creature..." Chad's voice was a little defensive at this point; not for the bastard that attacked him, of course, but because, well, the whole in love with someone who wasn't human thing.

"Definitely more human-like than half the things I've ever encountered, so..." Chad just let that statement drift off, his expression becoming more disturbed as he was recalling a mask. The guy had a mask, kept coming back. Zaraki here...It...couldn't be a Hollow, could it? No, it couldn't be, 'cause then so many people wouldn't see it, would they? He gave a slight grunt.

"You heard anything more about it? I've been...with the wound...y'know, so...Thought he was taken care of until jus' yesterday..."

Chad grunted again slightly as he nodded. "For sure?" he asked. Because he had thought the attacker was taken care of earlier that week...

[identity profile] senor-chado.livejournal.com 2007-05-27 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
Which, of course, had Chad asking, "Who told you?"

[identity profile] senor-chado.livejournal.com 2007-05-27 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
Chad nodded a little. He didn't know Isabel very well, but that almost seemed, in his mind, why he could trust her word. If that made any logical sense, which it probably didn't, but thus was the Chad.

Chad, too, looked out over the sea, still idly running his hands along Trenor's neck, but his thoughts were not nearly as deep...and much more literal. "Know mine's gonna scar...."
