The Arms Hotel Lobby, Monday afternoon

Mary is trying to update the hotel's records since everything she's found so far is on paper and the new owner is a computer junkie. It's taken her a while and it's giving her a little bit of a headache. To make things worse, there's a draft that keeps blowing papers off the front desk, yet she can't figure out where it's coming from.

"Hi, we were hoping to rent a room for a couple of nights," Lana said with a smile.

"Sure thing! Welcome to the Arms Hotel," said Mary, thrilled to be getting her first customers. She was so thrilled that she was willing to overlook the fact that they might be underage. Hey, she and Danny were both young once upon a time, right?

"Just sign the register right here," she said as she pulled out a rather dusty old book and an antique fountain pen. She thought they added a little bit to the ambiance. "Did you want a regular double occupancy or a suite?" she asked.

Jim started signing, but looked over at Lana.

Hell, his dad could afford it.

"A suite," he decided. And then, to add some semblance of respectability. "So I can have the couch."

Lana's eyes widened, then she covered her mouth to hide her smile. "Always such a gentleman," she murmured.

Mary giggled. They were such a cute couple and he reminded Mary a lot of her Danny. "I've got a really nice suite available. It does have a small kitchenette but we do have room service 24 hours a day. It's got a nice couch too but I think I can also find you a cot if you need one." She paused to clear her throat. "And it also has a king-sized bed," she added with a smile.

"My name is Mary if you need anything. I hope you enjoy your stay."
