Atlas Gym [Monday, Late Afternoon]

Yes, John actually showed up. Of course, he wore his best sneakers in case he had to run for his life but he did show up and he thought that was an accomplishment.

Of course, he hadn't heard about the latest incident in the 'Aly's pregnant' rumor and probably would've run and hid if he had. So, he's there.

And not running.

Yet.

Aly arrived at the gym with a very sweet smile that probably should have warned John that running was a good bet.

"So your arm isn't bothering you too much?" she asked. "I'm so glad."

"Thank you for your concern," he said cheerfully, "but I'm a tough guy. I'd have shown up with a broken leg."

No, he wouldn't have but she didn't need to know that.

"I'd've expected that," she replied. "A broken leg could hardly affect your throwing arm."

"Well, I neglected to say I also would show up with a broken arm," he added. "Two broken arms. And a broken nose."

Aly laughed. "You're so dedicated."

"I know," he said, grinning proudly. "Having a good day?"

Josh had found himself a seat in the corner.

And popcorn.

"Kick his ass, honey!"

Aly grinned at him. "I'll do my best."

She laughed. "You're enjoying this too much, aren't you."

He waved his little Mets foam finger at her. "...maybe."

Aeryn is totally aware that her fiance's going to be somewhere where knives will be getting thrown. Which is why she comes to stand by the entrance, with her phone, in case she needs help taking anyone to the clinic.

John waved. "You not coming in?"

"In case I need to run for help," she says with a little smile.

"Such confidence," John said, frowning.

"I'm sure you'll be fine," Aeryn assures him. "There are witnesses, after all."

Josh waved, too. "Popcorn?"

Sadly, Aeryn's not one to think about food at sporting events. "Um, I'll pass," she says. "...Popcorn?"

"Sure!" Josh said. "I'm not much of a hot dog guy."

Aly threw her a wink. "I promise I won't kill him."

Aeryn grins a little at that. "I appreciate it," she tells her.
