Magic Box, Tuesday

After all the hassle with the Magic Box in Sunnydale last week, Giles had turned his phone off and hermited for an extended weekend. Sometimes it was either retreat or invest in lots of alcohol.

So he was just now after opening the shop, listening to his voice mails from Friday.

Voice mail, Giles decided, staring at his phone, was evil.

The Magic Box was open.

"Hey, Giles," Dawn greeted him as she pulled the door open. It should be noted that she still had the sling and fake hand on her left, but didn't seem to be in any pain. "How's your Tuesday?"

"I...I should go." She backed towards the door.

Dawn stopped dead at the tone of command in Giles's voice.

"That wasn't a message for you!" Dawn flailed, "I was calling Peter Petrelli back to tell him...well, you got the message, even though you shouldn't have. And there wasn't any nakedness, sparkly or otherwise!"

Still flailing, Dawn told him, "And I could go just as long without you hearing it about me! Especially from me! And in relation to Sam! Or, well, anybody!"

"Well," Dawn said, a little calmer, but still not great, "I can bring him by, or you can trust that the other Giles--mine, technically--did the vetting when I dragged him home with me two weeks ago."

Dawn groaned and buried her face in her hands, so she may have been a bit muffled, "What do you want, Giles?"
