The Beach, Thursday early morning

Ami was at the beach, staring at the water. With a grin, she transformed, wind blowing through her now short blue hair. She felt the power of Mercury surging through her, almost pulsating. This was a good place to make sure she remembered everything correctly.

"Shining Aqua Illusion!" she shouted, and by her command huge waves surged up out of the ocean into a column.

Adam had decided to go for a run on the beach, having woken up fairly early.

He hadn't expected anyone else to be out here and was really surprised when he saw the girl creating a column out of the waves.

Ami was busily causing the column to rush towards her and then back off, falling apart into a mist of bubbled. "Mercury Bubble Blast!" she said, as the bubbles surrounded the beach in a cool fog. She had not yet noticed that anyone else was there.

Adam was equally amazed by what she was doing now. He didn't want to interrupt her by saying anything, so he just stood there, watching.

Tori had felt like working out this morning and figured the best place to do that was the beach.

She was intent on training and really hadn't thought anyone else would be up. When she happened upon the beach, she caught the tail end of the transformation.

And what she was doing with the water? That was amazing. "Wow."

Ami played with the column of water, having not quite heard Tori yet.

Tori was in awe of what she was doing with the water. She had been a little distracted by the water, that she suddenly realized that it was Ami out there.

"Ami?" She was completely certain, but Tori had a pretty good idea that it was her friend in front of her.

Ami turned around and saw tori. "Tori hi!"

"Hey." Tori smiled, and waved. "I didn't mean to interrupt you."

"No it is alright. I am just... practicing this newfound ability..." Ami smiled. "How did you know it was me?"

"That's really cool. When did you find out you had it?" Tori was intrigued. "I happened by when you transformed."

A good breakfast and some caffeine before a long day of construction work were usually good things to have, and Conner was on his way toward J,GoB to get just that when the huge freaking column of water caught his attention.

And then Conner did the only thing he could do in such a situation.

He meeped.

And it's a shame he missed the transformation, because cracktastic anime magic + cracktastic pseudo-tokusatsu handwaviness == lots of crack.

The meep of course caught Ami's attention and she turned to see who it was. "Hi" she said waving, and the column of water waved with her.

Conner felt a little bad that he was much more flaily than friendly about waving back, but that was a big column of water waving at him and he couldn't swim, and panic miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight have been setting in a bit.

". . . you have blue hair," he said, ever so intelligently.

"Yes" Ami replied, equally intelligently, and released the column of water.

"That's . . . pretty cool," he managed in a faint voice. "The water, I mean. Well, and the hair."

Once or twice in a common room, I believe.

"Yeah, that's me. I don't remember your name, though," he replied sheepishly.

Stan was walking barefoot along the shore, the waves splashing over his feet.

Billy spotted Ami while out walking. He recognized her cause he'd seen what happened yesterday. "Impressive." he said, approaching.

"Practice" Ami replied. "How are you?"

"Not too bad, you? Superpowers all coming back to you alright?"

"I guess..." Ami frowned slightly at the question

"Yeah, just... i don't think they are super..."

Billy raised a concerned eyebrow. "What's wrong with them?"
