Fandom Post Office - All Day Wednesday

It had been a really pretty morning and Katara had drawn out her time at the beach as much as possible before scrambling to get to the post office mostly on time.

Once she was there, she fiddled, stacking magazines and pretending she was sorting mail before she moved onto important tasks like classifying the paper clips by size and trying to make paper clip strings for Not Tiddles to chase across the floor.

That had only lasted a few minutes before Not Tiddles decided that Katara's hands were more fun to chase than the paper clips. So Katara found herself up on the counter away from the cat and trying to read one of the many magazines the post office seemed to accumulate.

Chad had a big, fat letter to send to Orihime. Most of it was about Prince Oscar Pedro.

"Something's wrong with that cat," Chad said, glancing over at Not Tiddles, joking of course, though you couldn't tell by the look of him. "Too much hair."

Katara snickered at Chad. "Sure there is. You're just biased by Oscar."

"Next thing you're going to tell me," Chad said, voice very stern, "is that most cats actually have all that useless hair."

"Most cats are very cute too," Katara said, grinning.

"That's true," Chad nodded. "I've yet to meet a cat I didn't think was very cute, actually."

Yes, that was said to heavily imply that Prince Oscar Pedro was included and anyone would be nuts to imply otherwise.

She wasn't quite silly enough to sa that she thought otherwise. At least not right now when Chad was so very proud.

"I've heard Hermione's cat is scary looking," she said instead.

"Never met Hermione's cat," Chad admitted, in a tone that suggested he had a new goal in life.

And what a goal it was.

"Maybe she'll bring him out to the Common Room one day," Katara said thoughtfully.

"Think her cat and Oscar Pedro would want to play together?" Chad asked, always hoping to find new playmates for the kitten.

"Awwww," Katara was captured by that idea. "That would be cute."

"You should see him at Empi...err, Groovy Tunes. Flopsy, Mopsy, and....that other one are like his big sisters. He's gotten good at climbing them."

Chad sounded like a proud father who's son had gotten first place in the science fair.

Because at least she's focused.

Also focused. Cause they're not alive. We hope.
