Ellen came into work and found, to her morbid amusement, that the female zombie had decided to become an undead fashion plate in the style of Stevie Nicks. The blonde wig alone looked like it had been used to mop a butcher's floor.

Ellen told herself she was not going to request Landslide. Tusk might be doable though.

Fraser found his way to Caritas and then up to the bar. He took a seat on a stool, dropped his hat on the counter and said, "Good evening."

Ellen smiled warmly as she walked down the bar to greet him. "Evening," she said. "I got your message and thank you for letting me know."

"And I've come to apologize in person," he said, "and to ask if I can make up for canceling."

"You sure can," Ellen said. "And don't worry about it; if living this long has taught me anything, it's that can and usually will go wrong, but you deal and move on."

"A very good philosophy to have," Fraser said, nodding. "And I thank you for your understanding. There's still the matter of making it up to you. Any ideas?"

"Well," she began, thinking about it. "How about dinner, tomorrow night? Maybe if we give it less time, nothing will come up."

"Dinner tomorrow," he agreed. "That sounds perfect. Nothing should come up. Last time I thought that, aliens blew up the school. I shouldn't say things like that."

"You can choose the place," she said, smiling. "And we'll hope for no aliens."

"Very good then," he said. "On both parts. I will see you tomorrow, then."
