Pizza Planet, Friday night

Johnny and Ronan walked into Pizza Planet and found a booth near the jukebox cause I like it!, sliding in and getting comfortable while grabbing a menu to decide what they were going to have.

"Dude, I am freakin' hungry...what sounds good?"

Ronan looked over the menu. "Feta. Whatever we get, it needs to have feta." He smiled up at Johnny before returning his gaze to their choices. "What about... feta, hot sausage, mushrooms, and bacon?"

"Sounds good to me," Johnny said amiably, grinning. "Think if I offer to cook it, it will get done any faster?"

Laughing, Ronan shook his head. "Why don't we leave the pizza to the experts?" he said, half-mockingly. "I think I'll prefer it that way."

Johnny put his elbow on the table and lit his hand up, "Dude, I was so not talking about putting it together." What? Show off? Whenever possible, come on!

Ronan narrowed his eyes at the fire for a moment, before grinning. "Douse yourself," he said, in the Speech, directing the words at Johnny's fire. He wondered if he'd have just as much control over it as he would any regular fire.

No, he wouldn't. Johnny grinned back at Ronan, wondering if that was what he was trying to do; douse him. "It won't work," he leaned in and whispered softly.

Ronan frowned, and narrowed his eyes. Feeling for the part of himself that was still connected to the Spear of Fire, no matter where it was now -- he had wielded it, if only for a while, and that left a mark on a person -- he tried again. "Go out. Now." There was force behind the words, and a little touch more power than Ronan would normally use.

Johnny felt the energy, of course, but still -- his body was made up of something stronger than Ronan could possibly ever touch. He could go Supernova, which to his knowledge, no one else could even get close to.

But, he did douse himself because he didn't want this date to turn into a 'look what I can do' contest. Smiling, he reached over and placed his hand, still very very warm, on the back of Ronan's neck. "Sorry..." Then he leaned in to kiss him very softly.

Ronan's frown deepened slightly; he could tell that that had been Johnny, and not the Speech, and while he knew that Johnny had some pretty decent control -- or could guess that he did, anyway -- he had expected that second attempt to work, no questions asked.

But, hey, public kisses. He leaned in, and returned the kiss equally softly, nothing that was too much for comm public.

They're pizza arrived and Johnny leaned back, grinning at Ronan. He knew that his powers were strong and if Johnny had let them continue, Ronan might have actually been able to put out his fire. Who knows? He just didn't think he wanted that to happen. He wasn't one for not having control of his own person.

"Dig in," he said, picking up a slice and taking a decent sized bite.

Ronan did so, grabbing his own slice and taking a slightly -- only slightly -- smaller bite. It was good.

"So, how's your week been?"

"Busy," he said around a bite. "Workshops, work -- which Mary came by and I enjoyed a very lengthy conversation with her. She's absolutely great. Wish she was younger."

"Of course you do," Ronan said, but he was grinning when he did. "Mine was pretty much the same. Minus the encounter with Mary, of course. Had my first patient at the clinic, though!"

"You did? Who and what was wrong with them? Oh, and can I ask you about the doctor, Troy I think his name is?"

Ronan frowned. "I'm probably not supposed to say. 'Doctor'-patient confidentiality and all that... And yeah, I suppose you could? I've only met him a couple of times, though."

"Riiight, cause it's not like it wouldn't be on the radio," Johnny smirked. Nothing was sacred around here. Okay, maybe somethings.

"Gonna make a point of going in to see him one day."

Ronan smiled. "Right, I suppose that's true. Still, it wouldn't feel right to say anything; if you missed it on radio, you'll have to ask someone else." His smile widened a little, to show that he was -- mostly -- joking. But Johnny wasn't getting anything right now.

"Why's that?" he asked, wondering what was so important about Dr. Troy.

Actually, Johnny only asked for the sake of curiosity and conversation. It was Dr. Troy who concerned him.

"It's...confidential," he said, totally messing with Ronan.

Ronan laughed. "I suppose that's fair," he said. "Perhaps you'll trust me enough some day to let me know."

"Perhaps," Johnny said, taking another slice of pizza. "But I think I'm liking the mystery." He winked, grinning.

Ronan took another slice himself, and devoured it in slightly larger bites. The first piece seemed to have made him even hungrier than he had been. "Mystery is good," he said, after swallowing. "If you need help with anything, though, you know where to find me."
